I purchased a mattress and would like to exchange it after I tested it out, is that possible?

Yes, our ‘Love it or exchange it’ is our IKEA 90-day trial exchange policy for newly purchased mattresses.

In the event that you feel the mattress does not match your comfort level, please bring the mattress with your purchase receipt to your local IKEA store within 90 days of purchase to obtain a one time exchange or a refund for the mattress to an IKEA refund card.

Please note that you do not have to roll the mattress back to it's original packaged state. Ensure you place a cover on it to keep it clean while on route to the store. If a cover is not accessible, please make sure the mattress is properly covered in plastic, or you may purchase a mattress bag from the store at the delivery counter.

Good to know:

  • Sometimes the mattress has a noticeable smell when you open the packaging. It is not harmful or toxic and disappears over time. Vacuuming and airing out and the mattress can help to eliminate the odour quicker. 
  • The store will decide on what constitutes an appropriate replacement.
  • If the price of the new mattress is more expensive than the defective mattress, the store, at its sole discretion may choose to refund the mattress onto a gift card. The gift card can then be used towards the purchase of a new mattress.
