Can I use a box spring with my IKEA bedframe?
The short answer is yes! Just make sure you have the SKORVA mid-beam to support your box spring.
The majority of IKEA's bedframes are designed in a Swedish-European style, with wooden bed slats to provide firm posture support for the mattress. If you combine the IKEA bedframe with a box spring mattress, then no slats are required. Regardless of the bed base, the midbeam is always mandatory if the bedframe you have chosen requires one.
