What does the 25 year IKEA Kitchen warranty cover?
The 25 year IKEA SEKTION kitchen warranty applies to domestic kitchen use only and valid for indoor use only. This warranty covers defects in material and workmanship in the SEKTION kitchen system.

Who is covered under this warranty?
This warranty applies only to the original purchaser of the free standing Kitchen Cabinets and Kitchen Cabinet System sold by IKEA. This means that even if you sell your home before the 25-year warranty is up, the warranty will not extend to the new owner of the home (except in the province of Saskatchewan).

What is covered under this warranty?
This warranty covers defects in material and workmanship in the following components of the IKEA free standing kitchen cabinets and kitchen cabinet system from the date of purchase:

  • Cabinet frames, doors, hinges, plinths, legs, cover panels.
  • Suspension and support hardware.
  • Drawer slides, sides and bottoms.
  • Other kitchen parts, worktops, and white goods are not covered by this warranty, but may be covered by their own separate warranty.
  • This warranty covers only those IKEA products or components that were installed for non-commercial use according to the cabinets systems Installation Guide.

What is NOT covered under this warranty?

  • This warranty does not cover products that are used for commercial purposes.
  • This warranty does not cover products that have been removed from their original locations or have been reinstalled or reconfigured.
  • This warranty does not extend to products that have been stored or installed incorrectly, used inappropriately, abused, misused, altered, or cleaned with wrong cleaning methods or cleaning products.
  • This warranty does not cover cuts, scratches, or damage caused by impacts, accidents and normal wear and tear.
  • This warranty does not cover water infiltration systems or damage caused by same.
  • This warranty does not cover incidental labor costs for removal or replacement of defective products.
  • This warranty does not cover CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES.
