Missing pieces, damagedJessicaRight when I opened the box one of the side pieces for the pull out was damaged. A small chunk taken out and the film is peeling off. Started putting it together only to find 5 wooden dowels missing. And a 45 minute wait on hold. Not only that, the instructions are not the best. The parts aren’t properly labelled. I ended up using the wrong screws and had to take it apart and use the correct ones. Ikea was really good once I was able to get on the phone with them, so thank you for that! They gave the option to replace the damaged part or 10% off. Unfortunately I am not close to an IKEA so they have to ship the missing dowels which can take up for 7 days. Overall, so far the bed seems good, it is not fully set up yet but seems of decent quality.3
Great design, materials could be betterPaulIt's the perfect bed for my daughter's room at the cottage. The ability to have it expand to sleep two, plus the storage is a brilliant piece of engineering. Unfortunately the slats provided are poor quality. One snapped the first time my daughter kneeled on the bed. I've come to learn that this is an ongoing issue. People are suggesting replacing the slats with better quality pieces from a hardware store cut to size. Ikea should up their game and improve the quality and offer replacements to existing customers.3
Very bad qualitySofianeThe slates are made of 2 pieces of wood glued to each other. They break after the 3rd or 4th use. The issue is that I was using it as a guest bed, so more than 90 days have passed, and there is no warranty, and they're not even a part that you get alone. I talked to support about that, and they told me to basically deal with the issue myself, buy wood from a 3rd party, or something.1
Great Guest BedAnnLooks good when set up as a single and wonderful when pulled out, almost a King! Takes a few hours to set up but worth it.5
Essential day bed if you really need one!Anonymous reviewerThis bed is great for a spare condo living. Regarding people complaining about unable to put the bed together, it takes patience and not being in a rush. The slabs aren't secured yes, but I screwed in all of the slabs instead of using the (I bought the screws separately). Ikea maybe should consider this so it gives the bed more stability. Other than that, it looks great and people have loved the day bed thay turns into an actual bed. 5
Assembly is too hardSaraIts assembly was a nightmare. I don't recommend it.3

Hemnes DaybedSalvacionI love this bed. I just wish the manufacturer have the barcode so you can have an option to watch the video how to assemble it not just relying on the paper.5
Giant piece of garbage.ChristopherThe slats on the bed are just held in by tiny little pins, almost impossible to assemble and then constantly pop out. Huge waste of money.1
Exactly what we neededIhssaneThis product is very esthetic and smooth to use5
Practical bed but lacks as sofaRamneeshWorks good when opened as double bed but used as sofa , with matresses stacked one over other, above matress slides off the frame as there is no support on edges to hold matress from sliding out. Any way this can be fixed ? 4

Versatile day bedSabineVersatile day bed From twin bed to king bed in a minute. My daughter loves it.5
Durable!CatherineI bought this in 2018, had been using it as guests bed. I had guests who stayed for more than a week and few guests who stayed for more than a month. I’m talking about a guest who is more than 6 foot and heavy. It’s still nicely intact.5
Avoid!!!! and a big shame for IKEA to have this productJolinThe bed slats are nothing but cheap joint wood slabs. Seriously, who would expect flimsy slats like these to hold any real weight? Can you believe IKEA actually used joint wood for bed slats? After just 13 months, they snapped right in the middle. Absolutely pathetic quality. AVOID this junk, sorry about my wording by the truth at all costs.1
The instructions of assembly is so confusingWalidThe instructions of assembly is so confusing and not clear so I have been trying to assemble it for longer than it should be.3
Functional and cute but easily damagedLaraThe foil on ours has pulled away and damaged easily. It looks cheap and damaged now after only two years.3
