This kit is already pre-paired, so all you have to do is screw the light source into the lamp socket and then start using your smart lighting.

With a smart LED bulb you can adapt your lighting to different activities, for example a warmer light for dinner and a brighter, colder light for working.

With the remote control, you can turn on, turn off, dim and gradually change the colour temperature of the light from warm to cold.

By dimming the lighting, you change the mood in the room.

You can use the remote to control up to 10 smart light sources which will all react in the same way.

Psst! 2 pcs AAA batteries are required for STYRBAR remote control. Sold separately.

The LED light source consumes up to 85% less energy and lasts 20 times longer than incandescent bulbs.

User friendly and easy to installMauA bit more expensive than ikea’s usual bulb, but easy to use and install.5
Great alternative to expensive and/or hub-requisite systemsDianaI was in a share-house, where I did not have access to my own router - nor did I feel safe putting my own tech with the communal router. So, I used a couple of lamps I had in storage & purchased the TRÅDFRI starter kit. It ended up being a bit tricky to add the second bulb. The first time, it stopped working with the original bulb. The second time, neither worked. With the third factory reset of all items, I was finally able to get the remote linked to both bulbs & it worked well for me. With a metal bed frame, it also made it super easy to have the remote close for when lying down or getting up. I chose this option over the less expensive starter kit due to the better options & expandability.4
