IKEA Guarantees

This guarantee applies to domestic use only for clothes and shoe storage and covers defects in material and workmanship in the following components of PAX/KOMPLEMENT wardrobes and interior fittings:

• Frames
• Hinged doors and hinges
• Dividers for frames, shelf inserts and sectioned shelves
• Sliding doors and sliding mechanism
• KOMPLEMENT interior organisers

Not covered: KOMPLEMENT insert for pull-out tray, KOMPLEMENT jewellery insert for pull-out tray, KOMPLEMENT divider for pull-out tray, and KOMPLEMENT tray 3-pack.

This guarantee applies to domestic use and covers defects in material and workmanship in the following components of the SKYTTA sliding doors:

• Door frames
• Door panels
• Rails
• Cover panel
• Ceiling height reducer
• Stop bar
• Hardware

Not covered: The floor rail tapes in place to the floor. The guarantee does not cover any marks or damages left on the surface when taken off.

This guarantee applies to domestic use only and covers defects in materials, workmanship and function on all main parts in the BEKANT desk series, IDÅSEN series, GALANT storage system, THYGE desk and HÄLLAN cabinets from the date of purchase at IKEA. This guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear, cuts or scratches, or damage caused by impacts or accidents. This guarantee does not apply if the products have been placed outdoors, in prolonged direct sunlight or in a humid environment.

This guarantee applies to domestic use only and covers defects in material and workmanship on the structural frame and moving parts of the work chair. This guarantee does not apply to products that have been installed/assembled incorrectly, used for public use, or outdoors.

The guarantee covers defects in materials, workmanship and function on all main parts in the BEKANT desk series.

Not covered: BEKANT desktop shelf & BEKANT screens.

The guarantee covers defects in materials, workmanship and function on all main parts in the GALANT storage series. 

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. The benefits under our guarantees are in addition to other rights and remedies under law in relation to goods.

Each guarantee lasts for the number of years stated against each product above, starting from the date of purchase.

IKEA will examine the product and decide if it’s covered under this guarantee. IKEA will then, at its choice, either repair the defective product or replace it with the same or a comparable product. In these cases, IKEA will be responsible for the costs of repairs, spare parts, labour and travel for repair staff that IKEA incurs, provided that the product is accessible for repair without IKEA incurring additional expenditure to gain access. This will not apply in cases where repair work has not been authorised by IKEA. Any defective parts removed in the course of repair works will become the property of IKEA. If the item is no longer sold by IKEA, IKEA will provide an appropriate replacement. IKEA will decide at its discretion, what will constitute an appropriate replacement.
