What is the maximum Benchtop overhang I can have?
The amount of overhang that your benchtop can have depends on the type of benchtop you have purchase.
Pre-cut Benchtops
Supporting legs or brackets are required when the overhang exceeds 25cm. The maximum distance between the supporting legs should not be more than 80cm.
Custom Stone Benchtops
Supporting legs or brackets required when overhang exceeds 30cm. The maximum distance between the supporting legs should not be more than 60cm. A 30cm overhang is quite comfortable on the knees for an average person.
