The bed is beautifulFernandaThe bed is beautiful, sturdy, and well-built. The drawers are spacious and provide plenty of storage. The assembly instructions could be improved by including labels or numbers for the wooden parts, not just the screws. That would make the assembly process much easier and clearer. Overall, I am very happy with the bed.
Not a great bed frameJanineThe bed frame was so complicated to put together, even Taskrabbit couldn't do it properly. It smelled putrid as well, like old garbage. One those two accounts, this bed frame is not recommended.
NoisyKatieLove the bed for the storage. But the bed is noisy. One tiny movement and it creaks and you can feel the bed shift. If you’re a light sleeper do not buy. If your a younger adult with significant other living with other people do not buy!!!

Nice bed, tons of storage space!RobinI bought two of these for each of my kids and then found out they have a bit of a reputation as being challenging to build. I consider myself a relatively experienced IKEA builder but this is by far the most complicated piece I've built so far. It took about 4 hours total, was very straightforward, as always the instructions could be a little clearer especially with so many types of screws that look similar. This is definitely a two person build as there are steps that would be virtually impossible to push long pieces together alone. Something to note: the insides of the drawers are grey, when I opened box 3 I had a moment of panic that I somehow got the pieces for a grey bed instead of black as was indicated on the box. Also do yourself a favor and pick up a cheap drill on Amazon if you don't have one as there are many screws to put in.

Bed broke after 3 years. Not worth it long run.EmmaBe prepared to replace the metal support that runs through the centre. It tore at the head like a sheet of paper, after 2 years of use. Upon replacing it, one side panel also tore when I put the mattress back on. Returning the new metal beam. Would only buy this bed if you want to get a new one in 3 years.

Decent Frame that Looks like it lastAnonymous reviewerThe Frame is well built and relatively straight forward to put together. The only issue I had was with the cheap cast metal cam lock nuts. The first couple I used for the middle floor section kept breaking off. Had to order a handful to complete the build. Other than that it was a quality kit.

Terrible delivery experienceJean GuillaumeReceived a defective frame. Got good customer service, set up an appointment for retrieving defective bed and delivering new bed. I ask IKEA rep if I should return every component of the bed, even if opened, and they say yes. Turns out the "bed" is only three boxes, although the actual "bed" also requires wooden slats and a support beam, which IKEA had sent with the initial delivery. I interpreted my conversation with the rep as implying I should send those back too. It turns out that I should not have, so I have to pay to have them delivered again. IKEA kindly gave me 5$ off the 20$ delivery fee! One month in and my son is still sleeping on his mattress on the floor. I'm very annoyed at how much time I have wasted over this (including writing this) and will never shop at IKEA again.
