I just love itEgorThey make my room much cozier and quieter 5
Not effective AngelThis did absolutely nothing to reduce sound. I’m surprised it has had so many outstanding reviews.1
Don't work at all. SeanWaste of money.1
Are they curtains? Yes. Are they sound absorbing? Not in a million yearsKatherineI was so excited about these curtains based on the other reviews I’d read. After receiving them, however, I am seriously wondering if I received the same product as everyone else. These genuinely do nothing to absorb sound. They’re cute I guess but they’re insanely thin and do zero to reduce road noise. Very disappointed as I had high hopes :(1
Seriousely underrated, underappreciated IKEA product IIHenniI fully agree with the person who wrote above title. I live close to a main street with stoplights on my corner. Do I still hear traffic. Yes, I do. But on a different level. My bedroom became much calmer. Will buy this curtains for all my upstairs windows. 5
Don’t know how they work but they doSuzanneI got these for the room where we keep our rescue birds. Indoor birds, especially those with past trauma, need to feel secure and safe. We live in San Francisco and these curtains have drastically reduced the sound of cars, barking dogs, and even ambulances outside. I didn’t expect much, but have been very pleasantly surprised by the level of sound absorption. There is a marked difference between the sound that comes through our regular curtains in our other rooms, and the sound that is able to be blocked in the room where we have these curtains hanging. We plan to get more for our other rooms. I just wish they came in various lengths and colors.5
Dampens sound surprisingly wellOliviaWe purchased these for our street-level bedroom that's close to a roadway. We liked the look and feel of them but weren't originally looking for sound-dampening curtains. That being said, really glad we found them! They have reduced roadway noise and other ambient noise significantly, and we noticed the difference immediately. The sounds that do come through are noticeably flattened and dampened.
The look and feel of these is nice, and the horizontal lines made them very easy to cut and hem to the appropriate length. They do feel a little pricey initially but at this stage I feel like it's great value. Not a cone of silence but the closest you can get with a pair of curtains.5
Not What I ExpectedJoyI wanted the white Lenda curtains for my guest room, but Ikea was sold out. I purchased these instead. Not worth the price in my opinion.3
Love these curtains!KathyThese curtains are just what I was looking for. The fabric is a perfect weight and color. I washed and line dried them before hemming so I cannot say whether they shrunk at all. The fabric was easy to hem and iron. Easy to hang. I bought the white curtains, not bright, more off-white: perfect!5
Goodbye Train… chooo choooMaliaWe live a couple blocks from a very active train and wanted to dampen the noise from it. While we can still hear the train, the sound is way less high pitched. We love them. I would buy them for every room, but their one flaw is not being long enough. Ours are awkwardly between the floor and window sill. Really hoping ikea starts making them in longer sizes. But honestly may put these in other bedrooms due to their practicality.
Not to mention- they’re a good weight, still allow light in, and look good!5
