Leather ottomans bring durable style to any space

Few materials are as timeless – or as versatile – as leather.

Many of our leather ottomans are made from top-grain leather with a light protective coating to maintain their softness and natural color variation over time. They look just as good next to sleek, modern furniture as they do alongside traditional pieces. And, like your favorite leather jacket, they only get better with age.

Leather adds polish to any room, but if you’re looking for something cozier, consider fabric ottomans in a range of shapes and sizes. For a laid-back boho style, rattan ottomans add the perfect organic touch.

Using leather ottoman benches for storage

A leather storage ottoman is one of those pieces that quietly ends up doing a lot. It can hold throw blankets in the living room, keep remotes and magazines from taking over the coffee table or even give kids’ toys a temporary hiding place before guests arrive.

In bedrooms, place a leather storage ottoman at the foot of the bed for a convenient place to sit while getting ready as well as extra storage for pillows and bedding. In a hallway or entryway, it becomes an easy drop zone for bags, scarves or the shoes that never seem to make it to the closet.

Some ottomans can also pull double duty as a table when topped with a tray – handy for drinks, snacks or your to-be-read list.

How to care for leather ottomans

Leather is durable, but a little routine care goes a long way. Dust or vacuum regularly using a soft brush attachment, then wipe clean with a damp microfiber cloth as needed.

To help prevent drying or fading, keep your footstool away from direct sunlight and heat sources like radiators or fireplaces. If your leather ottoman bench starts feeling dry, a leather cream or conditioner can keep the material supple.
