What should I do if my product is withdrawn from sale?

If you have an IKEA product that has been recalled, stop using it immediately. Visit the nearest IKEA store or contact IKEA Customer Support to return it and receive a full refund.

All IKEA products are carefully designed and rigorously tested to ensure the safety of our customers and compliance with all applicable standards and legislation. Despite these high control standards, on rare occasions it may be necessary to recall certain products due to a safety concern that had not previously been detected.
If you are an IKEA Family member, you will be contacted by email if a safety notice or recall is issued for a product you purchased using IKEA Family. You can also view all current safety notices and product recalls on the IKEA website at Withdrawn products.
When a safety notice or recall is issued for an IKEA product you have at home, stop using it immediately. If the product is connected to electricity, unplug it as an additional precaution.
You can return the product and obtain a full refund by taking it to an IKEA store or by contacting IKEA Customer Support online, whichever is more convenient for you.

Take the product to an IKEA store 

If the product is small and you feel safe transporting it, take it to the nearest IKEA store as soon as possible. Please note that products subject to a recall cannot be returned at Planning Studios.
When you arrive at the store, go directly to the Customer Support Desk. If you still have the receipt, the refund will be issued via the same payment method used for the purchase.
If you used your IKEA Family card at the time of purchase, you can also find the receipt by logging in to your account and accessing “Purchase history”.
If you no longer have the receipt for the recalled item, the refund will be issued in the form of a refund card.

Contact IKEA Customer Service online 

You can also contact IKEA Customer Support. If you are using the chat on the IKEA website, you can type “I want to speak with a co-worker” or alternatively call +351 219 899 945 — at the main menu, enter 233, to speak with a co-worker.
With the receipt, the refund is issued using the same payment method. Without a receipt or for cash payments, the refund is issued on a refund card.
