What spare parts can I buy at IKEA and how much do they cost?
There are three types of spare parts available at IKEA: small parts, large parts and appliance parts. The price varies depending on the replacement part required.
- Small spare parts are used to assemble or repair IKEA products and include screws, latches, handles, dowels and other similar fasteners. Each part has a 6 to 8 digit identification number, which you can find in the product's assembly instructions or by accessing via the Purchase history, if the order is linked to an account IKEA Family. Can Order these parts at any time after purchase — are always free and shipped free of charge.
The "Order spare parts" option may not appear in your purchase history if:
- The product does not include spare parts in the package.
- The article is out of print or has been discontinued.
- The order has been cancelled or returned.
- Large spare parts These are larger components, usually furniture parts like side panels or drawer fronts. They are included in the packaging when you buy an IKEA product. Large spare parts do not have a 6-8 digit identification number and can only be obtained through Customer Service. The cost of large replacement parts depends on the part you need. For more information, please contact our Customer Service by visiting an IKEA store or calling +351 219 899 945 - in the main menu type 2>3>3.
It is important to know: The availability of larger spare parts is not guaranteed. Even after the desired part has been identified, there may not be stock, so we are unable to guarantee the respective reservation. - Spare parts for home appliances all appliances sold at IKEA have a warranty. During the warranty period, repairs and spare parts are provided by the Authorized Service Centers. If the appliance is no longer under warranty, spare parts can be ordered from the external supplier ASCI, accessible from the IKEA spare parts.
ASCI's terms and conditions are available on its website. To identify the correct part, you need the manufacturer's name, model and serial number, which can be found on the rating plate, usually located inside the appliance. The price depends on the manufacturer and the type of part.
Here is a list of IKEA appliances for which you can get spare parts, as long as they are part of the original product:
- IKEA home appliances: ovens, microwaves and hoods, washing machines and dryers, coffee machines and electric kettles, fridges and freezers, dishwashers.
- Exceptions: IKEA mixer gaskets are not sold as spare parts. They are made of ceramic, must be replaced by a certified professional, and generally have a lifespan longer than the warranty period.
- Non-IKEA appliances:
– Refrigerators and freezers: door handles, hinges, trays, baskets, door seals.
– Dishwashers: hinges and seals, spray arms, drain filters, inner supports, plastic elements (baskets, lids).
– Washing machines: door, seals, door locking system, plastic elements such as the detergent drawer.
