You can easily turn the lights on and off by shaking them.
The built-in timer automatically turns the lights off after 6 hours.
If you choose rechargeable batteries, you can easily charge them via the USB port on the underside of the light. USB cable is sold separately.

Batteries are sold separately. IKEA recommends LADDA rechargeable battery HR03 AAA 1.2V. 4 pieces required.
