An excellent floor lampSureshA simple, elegant floor lamp that's functionally and aesthetically compatible with many design configurations. A couple of design parameters that need attention: 1. The vertical brushed aluminum member is fixed to the base plate with 3 screws and 1 upright. The upright could be longer and thicker to give greater stability to the vertical member 2. The shade comes flattened in the package and has to be unfolded into its rectangular form. It does come with 1 rectangular steel wire frame which has to be Press fixed into snap-on clips at the bottom end of the shade. My experience from this floor lamp (and it's similar table lamp) is that a rigid rectangular wire frame to be snap-fitted to the top end of the rectangular shade will enable both units maintain their desired shapes despite the flattening in the packaging and shipping. I notice that over time, the shade tends to deviate from the 90° angles at the top end in the absence of a rigid frame support.4
