It can be a bit fiddly at first to put together think we were bit concerned not to break the glass but once we'd got first couple of glass panels in it went together easier definitely needed a second pair of hands though. Would definitely purchase again.

Good value but design could be betterAnonymous reviewerFound this item easy to put together apart from the doors, which would not line up or close properly. Wasn't worried about the look but I needed to keep dust and bugs out and sorted the problem out by gluing small but powerful magnets on the doors and frames. It is now totally dust proof. Still very good for the price compared to others I've seen, but Ikea could have fitted similar magnets and made it better. Really though, it needs adjustable hinges. Overall though, I'm pretty happy with it and would buy another.

Perfect Glass Cabinet, Well DesignedAnonymous reviewerI love this cabinet. For many years I've liked the look of the ikea industrial glass cabinets in all their formations, but never had the space or need for one. Finally, once our blue themed room was complete, it coincided with ikea releasing this very dark blue framed cabinet. Bingo! I've had to be honest and say 4 out of 5 stars as one piece of glass has a scratch, and I didn't notice till assembled (ikea did say I could return and get replacement cabinet, but it wasn't worth it as its on the side), but in my heart I want to still give it 5 stats.

Material
What is glass?
Glass is mainly made of sand, soda and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.
