Two persons are needed for the assembly of this furniture.
Keep in mind that you need enough space between the top of the furniture and the ceiling to be able to anchor the product to the wall.
Tempered glass is 4-5 times stronger and more resistant to breaking than regular glass. In case it would break, it shatters into many granular pieces to reduce the risk of injury.

Very Disappointed Anonymous reviewerI purchased the Lommarp display cabinet from IKEA in 2022. It has only ever been used in my dining room and is lightly used, simply dusted regularly following IKEA’s care instructions.
Despite this, the finish on the lower part of the glass doors has blistered and started to break, which is very disappointing for a piece of furniture with such minimal wear.
I contacted IKEA’s resolution team, but as this item doesn’t come with a 10-year warranty, they were unable to help. I find this frustrating as I expected better durability.
I own several other IKEA items, some much older, that still look like new. I’ve always been happy with their quality, which makes this experience particularly disappointing.

Lovely solid cabinetAnonymous reviewerOverall this is a very good, solid feeling piece of furniture which was fairly straight forward to build. I did have a couple of issues with the top part of the cabinet: there was a split on a side panel frame, also (unusually) one of the back supporting struts was misaligned meaning the back panel could not be slid into place. I had to have these parts replaced.

Doors do not alignAnonymous reviewerQuite easy to build and feels sturdy. My issue is one of the glass doors seems poorly machined. I can’t seem to align it so that it’s straight without it scraping the bottom of the countertop.
The package also came with three of the longer screws for the bottom knobs instead of two of each kind.

Holes for handles not aligned.Anonymous reviewerHas no one else noticed ?
The holes for the handles on the glass doors are not aligned. We had our doors replaced only to discover the exact same problem. We looked in IKEA Sheffield and Birmingham stores at the cabinets on display ….they had been built using the pre drilled holes for the handles and were not aligned!
The doors are built to mirror image each other with the pre drilled handle holes OFF CENTRE…….placing one door on top of the other they are exact …….HOWEVER the door hinges dictate that you need to turn one door upside down . Think about this ! IF the holes were in the middle this wouldn’t matter ……….we have had to drill very carefully next to the pre drilled hole on one side and use alternative handles.
Other than that it’s a lovely cabinet and was surprisingly easy to build .
So beautifulAnonymous reviewerWe love this new unit. We use it in our dining room. It’s elegant but not begging for attention. The only thing we would change: would love the upper part to have glass shelves so the light can shine all the way through. And the bottom part to have a soft close too. We keep banging those doors by mistake because the upper part has soft close mechanism.

A few adjustments needed on the screws for the glass top cabinet section to prevent the doors scratching the surface. Also slightly fiddly to put up (and definitely a two person job) but COMPLETELY worth it!

Looks stunning Anonymous reviewerHave been looking for six years for a cupboard to fit in a space in my kitchen. Saw this at my friend’s house. It really looks stunning alongside my cream cupboards. Holds such a lot. Now makes it easier to reach my glasses and plates. My husband and daughter put it together with no issues. Only downside we had to do a 90 mile round trip to get it as our local IKEA didn’t stock it.

The only thing is it can scratch easily so careful when moving bottles, best to pick them up so the surface won’t scratch.

Delighted with all the space to storage I have now...Anonymous reviewerWhen you have a husband who does everything... here it is, already assembled and ready to use. The instructions are only missing a few letters to indicate which board goes where, but it wasn't complicated. One thing I would like to have is a drawer in the part of the doors that aren't glass, but I am delighted with our investment. The color matches our dining table.
Additionally, I love how stable it is, it doesn't move at all and how softly the doors close, especially when you have children :D
