Fabulous FabrikorVerified ReviewerBeen after one for ages, having seen it in the catalogue, but was unable to get one! Saw one on holiday in Strasbourg, made me want one even more. Now I’ve got my vintage cameras on display on it , it’s really worth the wait. Very pleased indeed.5

Modern RetroVerified ReviewerI love this unit. It was easy to put up despite my fear of flat packed glass! It's a really solid item and shows off my collection perfectly. I also added lighting which really 'warms' the room.5
Cocktail cabinetVerified ReviewerLovely cabinet, covered the back with loud pink wallpaper with lemurs (obvs), and it’s now full of glasses, and gin!5
Put your bits on viewVerified ReviewerNeeded a new, more urban look and this cabinet suited perfectly. We all look at the contents far more that we used to and everyone now notices them. Just make sure you get the sides the right way round when assembling or the door is upside down!5

Material

What is glass?

Glass is mainly made of sand, soda and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.

Designer thoughts

"When I designed FABRIKÖR glass-door cabinet I was inspired by industrial furniture from the early 20th century, especially the so-called medical cabinets, where medicine and medical supplies were kept. It’s a piece of furniture that’s robust, sturdy and breathes quality – and its soft, rounded corners also make it beautiful. Since the cabinet has glass on all sides, it's perfect for displaying your favourite things. It works just as well as a glass-door cabinet in the living room as for storing beautiful handbags or jewellry in the bedroom."
