Ingredients:

  • 600 g ALLEMANSRÄTTEN mashed potatoes
  • 200 ml parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 l neutral oil
  • 200 ml wheat flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 300 ml panko breadcrumbs
  • Jalapeños, sliced
  • Mayonnaise or dip sauce

Step by step

  1. Prepare the mashed potatoes according to the instructions on the package.
  2. Mix in parmesan cheese and salt.
  3. Roll the mashed potatoes into balls. Coat the balls first in flour, then egg, and finally panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat the oil in a large pot or deep fryer to 180C.
  5. Fry a few croquettes at a time until they are golden brown. Let them drain on a paper towel.
  6. Serve the croquettes with jalapeño slices and your preferred mayonnaise or dip sauce.
