Critical parts missing. Worst assembly instructions ever!VirajCritical metal bars to complete the bed were missing. Tried to get replacement at store, but they ran out of them. So need to wait 3 more days.
Also the assembly instructions are the worst ever I have seen in 13 years. All my friends call me over to help assemble their Ikea furniture. But this one, I just couldn't figure out the next steps. especially with no labels on the various metal bars.1
Parts Defective, No Option for Spare PartsEmilyDuring assembly a manufacturers defect on on the the pieces was identified.
Unfortunately, there is no option to request a replacement part, as none of the metal parts include a parts number.
We will be calling to try and resolve the situation but are concerned that a full return of the bed will be required.3
Perfect for a small bedroomEltonOur bedroom can only comfortably fit a twin size bed, and this is perfect. It's nice to have an extra sleeping space for when we have family over but my daughter loves it too It's not too high so you can still reach the top bunk for changing sheets. (I'm about 5'7"). I'm happy with it!5

terrible assembly instructionsKeithI just want you all to know that the engineer/designer of this bed are having a laugh at us North Americans.
First off, give yourself 3 to 4 hours to assemble this product.
Get a cordless drill with a Allen key bit. This will save you at least 1 hrs and save your fingers from falling off.
All the screws are mixed together in 1 bag.
All the parts have no labels, so you will be guessing what part goes where.
The instructions might as well been written in Madarine or French! Oh, wait a minute, there were no written instructions.
The poorly pictures of putting this bunk bed was so bad, I had to take a break from my head exploding.
Please don't put this together with your significant other. There is a 100% chance you will get into a fight.
The bunk bed is solid and safe, that I approved.
I was going to make a video or write the instructions out for the next person.
I changed my mind and need more ppl to suffer like I have putting this together.

** Leave screws 1/8" out on side rails before attempting to attach to frame. This completely solves issues of holes lining up
You can leave nearly all the screws 1/8th out the tighten easily at the end**
(the instructions vaguely display this)
Highly suggest 2 people minimum to assemble. 2+ hours.

Everything the others said is correct: Extremely long and difficult assembly, holes don't line up, and this is not what one should expect form IKEA. I'm returning this tomorrow and I recommend that IKEA recalls/discontinues this product immediately. 1

Not the standard IKEA assembly qualityKarenWe read all the reviews ahead of time & were prepared for it to take longer. It took my husband 6-7 hours . The fabric assembly took longer & there were 2 holes that never lined up. My husband had to drill new ones!! Not impressed.
HOWEVER- the bunk bed itself is SO sturdy & functional - though it could use 1 more lower step for our ‘little’ 3 & 4 yr. old Grandkiddies.4
