Pay attention to the difference between the shorter bars!MaxFor step 1, you'll need the bar without the hook but with a short bump. Other than that the building is reletively problem free. The bed is sturdy to me, no shaky wobble. And it's just soooooo good looking!!5
Only build if you want to be angryAngelinaInstructions were very unclear, I got stuck on step 1 for about an hour. It was an extremely painful process building but other than that it looks nice2
The sound of squeaking.... DeidreThis bed is super heavy, a very tight fit for our Juke and a struggle to get in doorways/elevator. Never had an issue w/Ikea assemble before, keyword BEFORE. No parts are labelled, with pieces that look nearly identical it's an issue. I spent 20 minutes with a piece that looked identical to another struggling to figure out why they weren't fitting. None of the screws, etc, are labelled they're all tossed in one big bag loose, very un-Ikea. The instructions don't list the bed parts to verify you have everything before you start. Assembly was a nightmare, constant cross threading (they painted the screw threads) and screws jamming halfway in or falling through the massive screw holes, ending up inside the hollow headboard and footboard(there's nothing to stop them). Ikea didn't put much thought into this product, I've had the bed for over a week and even with forceful retightening it shrieks and squeaks when you move. I'd return but it's too much work to disassemble and transport.1
