White powder-coated metal and visible screws add a modern look to the bed frame.
The legs of the headboard are designed to fit walls both with and without a skirting board.
The headboard is free-standing, so you don´t need to fix it to the wall.
No need to worry about marks on the wall, since the back of the headboard has a small bumper made of jute to prevent scratches.

MisleadingTwilaI love the way this looks, and the quality is good too BUT it does not attach to the bedframe. Supposedly, (according to the ikjea agent when i called) it is meant to just stand up on its own! Firstly, no it doesn't stand up on its own! And secondly, even if it would- it would be way too low and would look bad. The way it looks in the picture is not how it would look standing on its own so that is misleading. Also I didn't read anywhere that it is not meant to attach to the frame. My fix was to attach it right to my wall- and it does look fine that way, but obviously not super convenient, especially if I want to change around my room.
