Larger then the mattress IanI bought this simple frame after years of another frame. I am happy with the over-all quality and ease of putting together - I am yet to sleep on this frame and have kept the receipt incase it does in fact squeak. I find it rather disappointing from ikea to still have the frame larger then the mattress.. the frame is to short in length and not wide enough? My old ikea frame as fine for the same mattress, so I assume it's a matter of convenience for ikea to make this like this. Buyer beware.

Great frame but strange packaging errorAnonymousWe purchased 2 double vevelstad frames. We are impressed by their simplistic appearance and sturdiness. However, when we began assembling the first frame, we quickly realized that 2 of the legs were not compatible with the frame and leg holes were not oriented correctly in 2 out of 4 legs. No matter what we did or how we looked at it, they were not going to work. After getting extremely frustrated (and wasting a ton of time), we finally chose to open the 2nd vevelstad box to see if the legs in the other box would be compatible. To our dismay, the legs appeared to be packaged incorrectly. We swapped 2 out of 4 legs from each box and were then able to complete our builds without issue. But this was a VERY unusual and disappointing road block. All things considered, they are great frames and we are satisfied with the quality. I will likely reach out to IKEA and inform them of this error to see if they will compensate us in some way.

Big gap between mattress and wallMariaI wanted to like the bedframe. However, there is a big gap between the frame and the wall and the pillows keep sliding in the gap. The king frame is larger than the king ikea mattress and it creates a very awkward and uncomfortable combination. Unfortunately I didn't notice these small but important details when looking at the photos. Maybe a version with a headboard would be better?! Such a disappointment
