Easy to assemble, looks nice.LidiahThis bed was sturdy, light and easy to assemble, but I had to return it as my pillow kept falling off the bed because of no headboard & I don’t like pushing my bed up against the wall. The design is clean & simple and looks nice. Good value if you don’t mind the lack of headboard.4
Excellent ValueAlexanderUpgrading from a wireframe platform to the VEVELSTAD has significantly improved my sleep experience; unlike what some reviews may indicate (of either VEVELSTAD or the included slats), there is no creaking to be heard when the product is tightened sufficiently. That said, the mention of the bed's height (or lack thereof) and the bed not being a twin size are both accurate. I'm not exceptionally tall, about average, and tend to go without a boxspring. This bed, while not difficult to get out of by any means, requires a noticeable amount of effort - but only in the most literal of senses, i.e. you will notice you are getting out of bed. It's really not too bad. As for the dimensions of the bed, while it is listed as a Twin, it is, in fact, a Twin XL! I think my only issue with this is that it's not labelled accurately; having a steel-framed TXL bed at such a low cost is a real asset, and IKEA should capitalise on that in its product listing. Assembly was also easy. Top shelf stuff!5
Perfect bed for kidsAlixThis bed frame is the perfect height for young kids. The metal frame is sturdy. Plus it’s super easy to assemble.5
Solid basic bedframeJudeEasy to assemble and disassemble, remarkably sturdy. 5
Slippery on hardwood floorsAnonymousThe bed frame is really nice, and I like the fact that it comes with the slats so you don't need to buy them separately. However, be aware that if you try to put this against a wall and you have hardwood floors the frame will slip and slide around. I really wish IKEA would make the feet bottoms rubber instead of hard plastic to prevent this.
You can get rubber feet protectors to place under the feet to stop this from happening.4
Great twin bedsJenniferBought two twin beds…
Very easy to assemble and they look great, simple clean modern look.
Highly recommend for kids room or guest room :)5
Nice simple bedframe, however, very slippery on hardwood floorsAnonymousReally great simple compact bedframe, I throw a bunch of cushions on it and it can double up as a daybed/couch. It also comes with slats included, so saving you money again by not having to buy them separately.
One minor problem though is that the feet are very slippery on hardwood floors, especially as IKEA's foam mattresses are not sufficiently heavy. However, this can be remedied by purchasing rubber anti-slip pads which should cost around another $10, although I wish IKEA would have included them with the frame.4
Review RamaHeight of the bed frame is too less, it should be increased by 50% . 3
