Worst product ever!! AtreyeeI bought it without checking reviews and it was the worse mistake. The product rusted within the first time of use in spite of seasoning and using gentle care for cleaning and immediately drying. Tried returning to Etobicoke Ikea but they denied, now raised a return request through the app. Wondering why the product hasn't been recalled in spite of so many negative reviews!!! Honestly, highly disappointed with Ikea. 1
Love this wokCoreyThis wok is getting some poor reviews but it is a carbon steel wok, much like a cast iron pan it needs to be cared for properly. A quick google search will explain all you need to know. It is my number one pan that lives on my stove top. Love it. Cheers!5
Excellent and great value but requires seasoningBillThose reviewers complaining of rust or staining did not follow the instructions provided to season the wok. Then has the gall to review bomb with pictures showing that they did not season the wok (see pic of seasoned wok). What's disappointing is that they bought something from IKEA, a company famous for product instructions, and proceed to complain about the consequences of not following instructions.
That aside, I find this wok surprising good with excellent value. I got the 32cm version which has a second handle at the other end. Weight is slightly heavy than what I had hoped for, but happy for the features that I get: wood handle, second handle at end, flat and solid bottom for heat retention, and thicker gauge steel that should resist warping. I'm also pleasantly surprised it comes with a lid that this price point. Excellent value. Solid buy. I love this wok!
By the way, it would have been really good to know the weight of this product on the website.5
Totally Rust everywhere even I followed instruction.Murat ErdemVery disappointed with this IKEA pan. After one time use, the pan developed severe rust both inside and on the bottom, as shown in the photos. This should not happen with a kitchen product that is supposed to be durable and safe for cooking. I tried to return it, but unfortunately the store refused to accept the return. I expected much better quality and customer support from IKEA. I would not recommend this product unless the rust issue and return policy are addressed.

This is a high-quality product that is designed for stove top use with its flat bottom for electric electrical or other when you don't have a proper or dedicated wok burner that cranks out major BTUs season it properly and enjoy a lifetime of use5
Immediate Staining and Bad SmellNataliaI used it once, on induction plate with lots of oil to prevent sticking. Everything stuck so bad I couldn't even cook the food and had to transfer it to another pan. Also, the pan immediately stained on both inside and outside, despite using with medium heat and as intended. Smells very strongly metallic and bad. I will attempt to return as it is not useable and wasn't exactly cheap!1
Amazing!FelipeThe woke is made of top quality materials. Therefore, IT WILL RUST. You need to season it and keep it seasoned and clean it accordingly. Do your homework and learn to use the tools.

Not suitable for cooking. AndreaI don’t know why this is still being sold. If you cook with anything slightly acidic is starts to turn black then brown to rust. The food tastes metallic. Please discontinue this!1
Pretreatment of new wok upon cooking stylesKurtBefore first use, there are various pretreatment ways to try, I read a lot of tips of this step made by various people who are Asians, White, Blacks…… they are all different, because people don’t cook the same foods, don’t prefer the same way. I pretreated this new wok with high flame with my burner making it turn “pearl color” covering entire surface, let it cool to be hands-warm, cover it with veg oil, and use small flame to heat it for 3~5 minutes, and let it cool. Done.
Since its entire body is in pearl color, it’s pretty, not ugly at all.4
Terrible product - do not recommendKseniiaI read the negative reviews but decided to give it a try, thinking that maybe those customers hadn’t seasoned the wok properly. I prepared mine very carefully, following the instructions exactly. However, even with perfect seasoning, it starts to rust during cooking.
I had to throw away two dishes because the food developed an unpleasant metallic taste.
I am extremely disappointed with the quality. I do not recommend this product.1
