Made from enamelled cast iron, which spreads heat evenly through the pan and retains the heat for a long time. This makes it ideal, for example, for slower cooking such as roasts and casseroles.
Suitable for all types of cooktops, including induction cooktops.
Steam collects on the inside of the lid and drips down from the knobs. In this way the food bastes itself, which gives a succulent and tasty result.
Can also be used in the oven since it is made entirely of metal.

Versatile, easy to care for, affordableRitaI've had this now for a few weeks and it has easily become the go to pot for almost all my cooking. Between this and my cash iron skillet, I am all set. Its not a smooth enamel inside - mimics classic cast iron which is probably why it's been so easy to care for. I tried cooking rice in it as I was considering purchasing a rice cooker and now I no longer need the rice cooker.
If team IKEA is reading this, I would like this in a larger classic dutch oven size like a 7 qt.
Looks good, annoying to use and clean.Anonymous reviewerLoved the look of this enamel pot and it was the perfect size. Unfortunately the inside is not a smooth enamel coating that I was expecting, but the same slightly textured matte coating as the exterior. Food sticks easily and firmly while cooking, making cleaning a pain. Not only is the food stuck but you have to clean it gently to avoid damaging the coating.
So while it's technically usable I find myself avoiding it and going back to my slightly to big pot that I was hopping to replace.
