Good value Matter sensorChristopherI have the previous generation IKEA hub, without Matter, so I knew I was going a different direction with this device. It connected through HomeKit using Matter no issues. The unit feels well built and the display is visible behind the plastic. I've been using the sensor for over two months, with no issues and the battery is still at 100%
Connection IssueThomasconstantly disconnects from the hub and is “offline”. All of my other ikea smart home products remain connected.
Inaccurate HumidityMarkIn principal, these sensors are ideal. Simple, small, connected, and affordable. However, on the humidity side their inaccuracy (5% low reading) for the two sensors I purchased is too large an error from the actual humidity to make them useable for me.
The inaccuracy was confirmed through a calibration process.
Adding a correction adjustment ability in the sensor that can be set in the Home smart app would overcome this inaccuracy issue and make the product useable.
Works well and is very useful. AshwinGreat product at a great price from Ikea with matter support.
Bad ConnectionWillThese IKEA temperature and humidity sensors have been extremely unreliable with the hub. They repeatedly failed to pair at first. When I finally got them paired and working, they disconnected from the app about a week later and would not come back online, even though they were fully powered and still worked offline using the built-in display.
I’ve had to reset and reconnect them to the hub at least four times. That defeats the point of using them as smart sensors. The display itself works, but the app/hub connection has been too unreliable for me to recommend them.
AccurateRobertQuick to install with Google Home and Nest Hub (2nd Gen).
Both temperature and humidity readings appear to be accurate.
A pretty good sensorEvanSo, I'm not going to write about the accuracy, as I haven't tested them because I don't care, I just want a rough estimate. But these look great compare to other temp sensors I have in my set up. I like how it glows to show the status, and the AAA is a welcome change to CR2032s or 46s.
I use home assistant using a ZBT 1, and the first 2 connected no problem, but the 3rd would not. I had no repeaters on my network. The moment I added a repeater (Kajplatts Bulb), all the remaining connected. I have since swapped out most of my sensors for these.
Works GreatJeffAll their key eye products, plugs and lights connected instantly with the wireless products. I had a few problems but once I change my Wi-Fi setup and put the 2.4 in to 1 channel only rather than automatic and change the preamble from long to short then all the wireless products connected almost instantly. It did not even have to be sitting by the Hub. Great stuff! Also a reminder you must be running IPv6 for any matter over thread products regardless of manufacturer
Works as expectedDanialI have this connected to Home Assistant and it works fine. Over the last couple of months it has dropped connection a couple of times but other than that works reliably. I'm happy with it.

Reliable and FunctionalJoshuaVery happy with this little device. Paired with the Dirigera, it gives continuous data points to HomeAssistant, and it appears it will last very long on 2 AAA rechargeable Lithium batteries.

Awesome and excellent value!MartineI bought two of these. I had NO problem onboarding them to my Apple HomeKit home. They paired and updated without any issues whatsoever. I have a dedicated 2.4 GHz Unifi network for my smart devices that sometimes can be picky, but everything went smooth as silk. At $12.99, you can't miss with these. I use them to trigger humidifiers via a smart plug and an automation.

Seems inaccurate Anonymous reviewerVery simple to put together and link to my Google home , though Google home is only showing the temp, not the humidity, which I don't like. When testing the product manually with the button the temp and humidity is all over the place. The temp sensor is different than value than all my other temp sensors and the humidity seems way too high... I'm going to give it a chance to acclimatize, but without being able to see the humidity on the app, this might be going back . It's too bad, the look and price are great.

Works great with SmartThingsNeilWorks right out of the box with SmartThings. No custom device handler needed and pairing was quick and easy. Very happy that it uses 2 AAA batteries instead of CR2032s
