The fixed cover is made from Vissle fabric in polyester, which is dope-dyed. It’s a durable material with a smooth weave and a nice two-tone effect.

Fabric Side Panels Smell TerribleRebeccaLooks great but the fabric side panels smell awful even after months of airing out. Thought they would off-gas but it persists and is unbearable. A few other reviewers have also noted a really bad smell. Tried bringing the panel into Ikea at the recommendation of phone customer service but when I tried in-store, the employee obviously wasn't going to put his face to the panel to give it a good whiff and visually there is no defect. To confirm my suspicions, I found the floor model and it has the same bad smell in the side panels. Ikea needs to further investigate and raise this as a known issue. My only option now is to try the sell-back program at a loss for these unacceptable side panels.

Too TightJulianaI already have a queen foam mattress and needed only the queen bed frame. I struggle every time when I change my sheets. There’s no wiggle room in the headboard, footboard and side rails. It’s very tight. I am very disappointed since it cost me a ferry ticket there and back plus a whole day. I wish I had known their mattresses are smaller.

Smells terribleAisWe recently bought this slattum queen size bedframe. During assembly we noticed that the upholstered parts had a very strong, unpleasant chemical smell. We decided to finish assembling it and leave the bedroom window and door open, hoping the smell would go away.
It has now been 5 days, and the odor is still extremely strong. The entire room now smells the same terrible as the bedframe. We have been forced to sleep in our children’s room all this time, opening all windows, trying odor absorbers and ventilation, but nothing helps.
I am very sensitive to strong smells. Everytime I approach the bed, I feel nauseous and on the verge of vomiting. This situation has caused significant discomfort and stress for me and my family.
We are now at a loss about how to return it, as we do not have a car at the moment and originally transported it ourselves. It will be extremely difficult for us to take it back to the store under these circumstances.
