The fixed cover is made from Vissle fabric in polyester, which is dope-dyed. It’s a durable material with a smooth weave and a nice two-tone effect.

Bed Slats fell apart after 2 years SaharThe bed frame is ok, the bed slats however are horrible! The connections between the slats started breaking after a year of use! The bed frame is nice and the fabric is ok. I also think the support beam is not that strong.

Seemed like a nice bed at firstLeahBought this in March because I needed basically a new bedroom set after 20+years.
Started loudly squeaking after about a week. It’s now 6 months later screws are continuously loose & have to tighten them daily. Half of them are stripped. The whole bed sounds like it’s going to collapse just sitting on it. I’m a pretty small woman.
What really sucks I can’t afford to replace it.
Should’ve been given extra screws or better sized ones.
Good bed for studentsTaniaLooks nice and softer than just wood. Was a bit finicky putting together - pay attention to the first step and is a bit rickety for large guys, but all in all pretty solid. Bought for both of my college athlete sons.

Fabric Side Panels Smell TerribleRebeccaLooks great but the fabric side panels smell awful even after months of airing out. Thought they would off-gas but it persists and is unbearable. A few other reviewers have also noted a really bad smell. Tried bringing the panel into Ikea at the recommendation of phone customer service but when I tried in-store, the employee obviously wasn't going to put his face to the panel to give it a good whiff and visually there is no defect. To confirm my suspicions, I found the floor model and it has the same bad smell in the side panels. Ikea needs to further investigate and raise this as a known issue. My only option now is to try the sell-back program at a loss for these unacceptable side panels.

Too TightJulianaI already have a queen foam mattress and needed only the queen bed frame. I struggle every time when I change my sheets. There’s no wiggle room in the headboard, footboard and side rails. It’s very tight. I am very disappointed since it cost me a ferry ticket there and back plus a whole day. I wish I had known their mattresses are smaller.
