Product details

25-year Limited Warranty. Read about the terms in the Limited Warranty brochure.

Laminate countertops are very durable and easy to maintain. With a little care, they stay like new for many years.

You can cut the countertop to the length you want and cover the edges with the 2 included edging strips.

The thicker countertop (1½") with rounded front edge works perfectly in a traditional style kitchen.

Create a perfectly coordinated look by combining this countertop with a matching wall panel.

CooktopElizabethGreat and works well, faster and cleaner3
Highly Recommended.LUANLooks great, high quality. You will need a good saw to have a good cut, but this is the same for any countertop.5
LoveshylerLove it. Worked perfectly for our space5
Highly Recommend!! Great quality!Stacy R.Purchased in July,Was exactly what we expected it to be, teally like the rounded/squared off edge! Love the coloring. Was very easy to install, definitely recommend using a circular saw with a laminate countertop blade made for a smooth cut did not chip! Quality is great it is very heavy so thankfully we had 2 for lifting.5
ExcellentKalBought this twice once for our kitchen in 2020..no issues for three years.. Moved and put it in our new home kitchen . Installed it my self, bought times..excellent.. Looks good.5
destroyed in 2 weeks by sink. garbage.Serguei K.little bit water on countertop near sink made countertop edge to open. very cheap construction. Spoke to salesperson in Ikea and was told that no water on countertop! but its kitchen. what exactly this countertop for?1

It looks good but onlyWendyIt looks good but only recently installed so we will see how it stands up to the wear and tear of the pantry !4
Countertop returnedTomI was surprise to see damage on the outer edge of the countertop. The glued outer edge swelled due to waterI penetration. It was replaced without issue but cost me labour to remove and re-install.3
Very niceKristinaBeautiful countertop that I’m using as a desk!5
Great CounterEmersonWe bought this as it gives the same look as a butcher block. However true butcher block requires maintenance where this counter does not. It has been very durable and gets lots of compliments. Love that it came with all the end pieces for finishing. It is very heavy though.5
Happy with my purchaseVerified BuyerHappy with my purchase5
Amazing value, literally could not find a cheaper laminate countertop than ikea ive done the research. Plus the best warranty. (Tools needed for installation: 1/12 in hole saw drill bit, jigsaw, circular saw, caulking gun, silicone, screwdriver, wrecking bar, level, sander, measuring tape, adjustable wrench) (expect to have to paint back wall if old countertops have built in backsplash) (backsplashes are only necessary around sinks and ovens and those little half 4 inch backsplashes old lamiante countertops have, well… water and oil and everything drips down behind because they’re only 4 inches and the entire area needs to be covered. There a recipe for water/oil damage that you cant even see until its removed its better this countertop doesnt come with one theres too many issues to count with those)Alexandria K.These countertops are so cheap. Its amazing. I live in a rental and my landlord wasnt fixing the water damaged moldy countertops himself and continued to say it was fine (it was… so bad the levels of mold in the air in the countertops were no doubt extremely hazardous and illegal and the damage was from the previous tenant who was an addict and i was sick of the mold) but anyways installing laminate and cutting it is pretty darn easy to do yourself and if anyones reading this wondering if its worth it and you dont have alot of experience and need a cheap but total fix this is it. If you arent great with power tools id just suggest getting a friend to come measure and make the cuts but the rest of the process, removal, placing them back down and securing them, sealing everything, placing and clamping back down the sink, is extremely easy and straightforward. If you took the countertops off youll know how to put the new ones down and as long as the cuts are done properly youll be golden5
Shelving extraordinairePAULALove the shelves for us cause we can easily install and have length options by joint them. And they are stylish.5

Our take on wood

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA we believe that sourced in a responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

Forests are critical for life on earth

Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.

100% wood from more sustainable sources

At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030

As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.

We accomplish more by working together

For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.

Material

What are foil and laminate?

Some wood materials need protection with a durable and easy-care foil or laminate surface. The choice depends on the end use and desired finish. We often use paper foil for storage furniture, while plastic foil suits demanding areas like kitchens and bathrooms. Today, the plastic we use is mostly recycled and our goal is to use plastic from renewable sources. Laminate is made of resin-impregnated paper, which adds a durable and moisture-resistant surface for countertops.

Quality

Built and tested to last

We believe that our kitchen countertops should meet your highest demands when it comes to design and performance, without compromise. That’s why we test our countertops, and put them up against the everyday challenges they’ll face in your kitchen: liquids, oil, food, steam, heat, bumps and scratches. When they’ve passed our testing, we know they’ll last, and we guarantee it with our 25 year limited warranty.
