ReturnedCelineLooks cheaper in real than on website. A bit flimsy too. I upgraded to another option from ikea2
Disappointed TraceyI’ve previously purchased this in the cream with skinny green stripes and it was 100% cotton and good quality. This time because I needed another I got the cream and it’s 100% polyester and loos and fees super cheap. I have to steam it a few times just to get it to look ok. I will probably use the hardware and make my own going forward. Sadly $39.99 is way too much for this maybe $19.99 and I could live with the poor quality.
Would not recommend unless it changes back to cotton. 2
Easy solution!AlexaThis is great for son’s room. The option to hang by curtain was really convenient.5
BlindsCarolI have had this type of blind for over 5 years and loved them however the magnetic strip broke. I bought these. I was disappointed in the quality of the new blinds so I took the magnetic strips out of the new ones and put them in the old ones. I am happy to be able to use the old blinds.4
Low qualityZoeUnfortunately, these look extremely cheap. I am planning to return them. Not worth the money.1
Replacement Magnetic Slats?SarahI purchased the previous white blinds and found them very practical for our exterior French doors.
I agree with other reviews that the magnet strength needs improvement but my bigger concern is with the plastic “slats” that hold the magnets. The plastic deteriorates with sun exposure and becomes brittle and snaps into pieces.
Could IKEA make replacement slats available for purchase?
For future releases, I would suggest using a light weight wooden slat with stronger magnets. I would also love to see white return as an option.
Thank you in advance for your consideration.3
Nice fabric, TERRIBLE functionIanIf you are looking for feng shui, this is the opposite, you will find stress. The blind material is a pretty decent but the magnetic bars that should allow you to fold the blind into an open position are tremendously under powered and you will spend literal minutes of your life everyday trying to get the blind to stay open. If you are like us and open and close the window daily you will be extremely frustrated. 2
Love!Anonymous reviewerI am obsessed with these. I purchased two, so that I could cover an awkward window between my kitchen and home office. They work really well and look great when folded up. I hung them across a curtain rod rather than using the hooks, and steamed them so they hang neatly. They look far more expensive than they are. I wish I had more use for these so I could purchase more!5
Bring Back the Original White VersionAndreaThe previous version of the Ringblomma Roman blinds in white was perfect—great quality, crisp appearance, and highly functional. They blended beautifully with any decor and worked flawlessly.
Unfortunately, the new taupe version is a huge letdown. The color and fabric texture make the blinds look like washed-out rags—wrinkly and unpolished. Worse, the thick fabric doesn’t work with the magnetic strips, so the blinds don’t snap into place.
I’m extremely disappointed and will be returning them promptly. IKEA should bring back the white version, which was far superior in every way.1
Super Easy to Install and Easy to useBarryThey fit our windows perfectly and were super easy to install. So easy to use and are quiet durable! 5
