BUYER BEWARE!!! Was great until it was notAlexandriaI actually find assembling IKEA furniture, fun so the fact that this was a long assembly didn’t bother me as it did for many other people. Also the drawers are huge and extremely useful.
I enjoyed this bed however, after a year, I started to get severe back pain and I couldn’t seem to understand why as I bought an expensive very well reviewed mattress. Only to find out that it was the Nordli poor infrastructural design that caused my mattress to sink in the middle and the back pain. The slats had broken and IKEA does not offer an option to replace them. Basically rendering the frame as useless. If you check out this video I found on YouTube (posted below) countless others have had the same issue. Super surprised IKEA has not done anything to fix this or made slats available.

Looks good & space-efficient LydiaUse the instructions & it’ll be easy to assemble. Verify pieces are facing the right direction (ie. which side up, where the preset holes are). It feels sturdy and came with sandpaper-type strips to prevent the mattress from sliding.

Drawers fit poorly DwightBought this platform king size. Was impressed while I was assembling the unit until I got to the drawers. They are very cheap. Then when I installed them in the bed frame the disappointment increased as they did not operate smoothly. Fit poorly in the frame.

Easy to install, it took 2 of us under 3 hours to put it together.
only buy if you know you have to reinforce it.Peteryou should be aware this is not engineered properly and is only a good purchase if you know that you must reinforce its structure before using it. i am not sure if i can link and still have this review accepted so check YouTube for video on this exact issue and how to fix it. you will need about three 2x4x8 and some screws (i used #8x3"; you might want some smaller ones to screw down the slats to the original rail, i haven't yet bothered with that.).

What an ordealFlavia-GraceThis bed took a VERY long time to assemble due to poor instructions.
We spent over 8 hours building it.
Make sure to attach the long pieces of wood onto the sides BEFORE tightening the screws with the Allen key.
If you think that all of the tracks have a plastic piece that is upside down, that is incorrect. The pictures are misleading. There is nothing wrong with the tracks. Try again.
PLEASE NOTE: This bed frame has a structural design flaw. There is not enough support in the middle.
Google the name of the bed and you will find a YouTube video where a guy teaches you what you need to do in order to reinforce it.
Now that we have reinforced it, it is much stronger.
The amount of storage that the bed frame provides is great. Perfect for apartment living.
The bed frame itself is harder than we are used to so we're still adjusting to it.
Overall though, it is not a bad bed frame. Just a nightmare to assemble.
IKEA, if you are reading this, please revamp your assembly instructions for this item!
And fix the structural design flaw!

The difference between various types of fibreboards, such as HDF and MDF, is mainly the thickness, yet also how impact-resistant they are.
