In this case, they missed the mark. It looks really nice in my kitchen. But the bottom gasket came off after two weeks. By four weeks, the lid stopped closing, sticking in the open position until I reach under the foot pedal to force the mechanism to close.1

The top of the bag just ends up sticking out around the top perimeter and looks sloppy. Besides that it looks nice and the pedal works well (though it doesn't pop the top a bit forcefully).3

The metal exterior wasn't perfectly round so the plastic bucket would get stuck off center, then the lid would get stuck on that. We had to pay attention to that every time we changed the bag. Also, the rubber around the bottom rim was getting displaced. We decided it was too much trouble for the price.1
