Don’t waste your money!IlhamI’m very disappointed with this bed frame. The cam lock screws did not work properly during assembly. They would not catch the screws and kept spinning freely, so the pieces never tightened correctly.
I followed the instructions carefully step-by-step, but the cam locks simply did not secure the structure. Because of this, the bed already feels like it is falling apart even before sleeping on it.
The frame is extremely noisy and squeaky, and the stability is very poor. For a product from IKEA, I expected much better quality and hardware that actually works. Unfortunately, the cam lock system in this kit is very poorly designed.
Biggest Waste of Money in my LifeSaididididCam locks screw didn't even flushly enter, bed fall apart as I slept. Save your money and find something else

Love MALM bed and the new brown oak colorSerhii IKEA has kept me busy with the purchase of these attractive beds. While I have a strong preference for the new oak color, I ultimately chose two gray beds for my children's bedroom. This decision was influenced by my daughter's pink bedding, which complements the gray beautifully. Unfortunately, both beds have been quite squeaky since the first day. I dedicated some time to address this bothersome noise and discovered a few solutions:
1. The metal railings must be securely tightened to the side boards, which requires considerable effort.
2. I inserted cardboard between each wooden slat and the side to prevent lateral movement during use.
3. Although the squeaking has nearly ceased, the hollow design of the boards amplifies even the slightest movements, unlike solid wood or particle board, which would produce no noise.
I hope these tips assist others in eliminating squeaks and enhancing their enjoyment of their new beds.

Include ALL Proper Tools!MikeIt’s a win. Took a few hours to assemble with the help on a 1 hr YouTube tutorial which was quite thorough. But even that missed one key point. Towards the end their are a set of screws that are not Phillips, do not take an Allen key. The take on of those small square head, screwdrivers of the exact square fitting size head. We had a set of 3 that someone left us, years ago and that saved the day. Until then, we were just stripping the head with the phillips and it would no fasten the metal crossbars.
In the IKEA packaging please include a tool to do this along with the custom wrench that was included.
Most people will absolutely need a detailed YouTube video to install this, along with IKEA diagram instruction book.
Overall, an excellent product and I ordered the Twin, without drawers. I like to slide thinks under the bed frame.
frustrated with the assemblyRommelWon't recommend! Not sure if they sent me a defective item or it's just that the step 4 of the assembly didnt work. The video we watched on youtube looked like it's easy to assemble it but it didnt work for the item delivered to us. So frustrating! They asked me to contact Taskrabbit for it to be continued at additional cost of course.
