I bought a second set of curtains (online) to go in the same room and the colour has been changed - still a green but not the same dark green. Very disappointed that the colour changed and no reference made that it had changed. It is now difficult to get it returned and my money back because it was bought online.1

Horrible plastic smell!AliI bought this one after I returned the other cheap one which comes around $27. It's synthetic plasticky fabric that looks better and gets less wrinkled. The blackout properties are also okay but the smell is almost unbearable! It's been three days since I installed it, open my window and let the AC run but the smell is still there. I think I might need to return it because of that. God knows how bad this is for your lungs and overall health. Such as shame. Couldn't they use a better material really?2

They don't black out very muchScottI baught a pair of blackouts from Ikea years ago, which is why I ordered some more. These new curtains are so much worse. Cheap in feel and look and don't block half as much light as the old pair. Worthless really.1

Great Quality and works as adverizesd!MarkGreat quality, the weight and quality of these curtains make your investment so affordable. I have two of these panels in my room and it keeps out all light. And when you wake up, you sometimes wonder if it’s daylight and have to check the clock or your smart phone to use and sure that it is morning time. I stress the weight of being good quality. There are two pieces. The first part of the panel is the outside fabric and the second part is the back part or the light cancelling fabric which is a white panel. I bought them long enough so that they are not only touching but our splayed across the floor and looks very classy looking and gives the room a feeling of higher ceilings.5

Material

What is polyester?

Polyester is a durable, quick-drying and insulating material that is optimal to use for textiles and as filling in pillows, quilts and furniture. The material is made from crude oil – a limited resource. Since IKEA doesn’t want to contribute to more virgin oil being used, we are now gradually switching to recycled and traceable polyester from sources like PET bottles. What’s nice is that polyester can be recycled over and over, without changing or losing its great qualities.
