The fabric blocks out all light and glare on TV/screens. It gives complete privacy as shapes or light cannot be perceived from outside and the transition between day/night cannot be distinguished

Perfect for people who are sensitive to light during sleep, anytime of the day.

Curtains reduce heat from the sun as well as heat loss from draughty windows. For best effect, mount from ceiling to floor with the curtains overlapping the window, as close as possible, to prevent gaps.

The 250 cm length is ideal if you want to hang the curtain above the window for a casual look.

Effective at keeping out both drafts in the winter and heat in the summer.

Curtains with heading tape allow you to hang the curtain directly on the curtain rod using the rod pocket or tabs. You can also hang the curtain onto a track rail using gliders and hooks.

Using gliders and hooks usually creates a more formal and dressed-up feel, where hardware is not visible.

The heading tape makes it easy for you to create pleats using RIKTIG curtain hooks.

    The curtains are sold in pairs. The sizes stated refer to each single curtain. For the total width, double the width of a single curtain.

    Since the fabric will shrink when washing it is a good idea to wash the curtains prior to cutting/hemming.

    Use SY iron-on hemming strip to shorten the curtains without sewing.

    16 gliders and hooks are usually recommended for each curtain with a width of 145 cm. You can increase or decrease the number depending on whether you want narrower or fuller folds in the pleats.

And when you wake up, you sometimes wonder if it’s daylight and have to check the clock or your smart phone to use and sure that it is morning time. I stress the weight of being good quality. There are two pieces. The first part of the panel is the outside fabric and the second part is the back part or the light cancelling fabric which is a white panel. I bought them long enough so that they are not only touching but our splayed across the floor and looks very classy looking and gives the room a feeling of higher ceilings.5

Material

What is polyester?

Polyester is a durable, quick-drying and insulating material that is optimal to use for textiles and as filling in pillows, quilts and furniture. The material is made from crude oil – a limited resource. Since IKEA doesn’t want to contribute to more virgin oil being used, we are now gradually switching to recycled and traceable polyester from sources like PET bottles. What’s nice is that polyester can be recycled over and over, without changing or losing its great qualities.
