Great design, terrible durabilityTaylorI really love the look of this rug - it’s so beautiful and the colours are so great. However after only 6 months of use in a low traffic area and following the care instructions closely, it looks incredibly old and worn and I have to replace it already. This is very disappointing especially considering how much I loved the design of this rug! I’ve tried really hard to get it to come clean but the colour has gotten very dirty and there’s nothing I can do to thoroughly clean it.
Short-livedClaudiaThis is very cute for approximately 3 months. Then the rug starts falling apart as it sheds into a fuzzy mess and the loops start to pull out of the carpet. Absolutely hideous after 2 years.
Sheds like crazy, impossible to cleanEmilyI purchased this rug one and a half years ago, and I very much regret the purchase. It is constantly shedding. I thought the shedding would decrease with time, but it's still a nightmare. Each week, I have to handpick clumps of wool from the top layer of the rug. The weave, while beautiful, is a magnet for trapping dirt and hair. Do yourself a favor, and do not purchase this rug.
Poor QualityAlessiaI really wanted to love this rug but it sheds non-stop. There are lose fibers and pieces coming up and off. I vacuum it once a week minimum and can't keep it looking great. I wish I could return it.
Beautiful but does not lastCourtneyAbsolutely stunning rug however, it started falling apart after 1 week. The weaves all started coming undone. IKEA says to vacuum it but I don’t recommend doing that, shake it out only. The minute I ran a soft bristle brush vacuum over it several weaves came undone. If you can handle never vacuuming this rug it’s great but if you like to vacuum it once a week or so I wouldn’t recommend it. Sad that I had to return it because I can’t find any other rug in this shade.

does not work on dark floorsAnnaI had some pink and blue accents in my living room and I thought this rug would make it all look good, but it did not and I had to return it. the quality is amazing, but the rug looks very bright and kinda sticks out like a sore thumb on a dark brown floor.
Wool is sheds non-stop. YuliaWe bought this incredibly beautiful cotton and wool rug almost a year ago, and yet it still sheds. Wool is scattered all over the apartment, as if we have a big shedding dog living with us. I vacuum the rug 1-2 times a week, and each time the dustbin is packed with wool. It's very irritating. I'm deeply disappointed with this rug model.

Beautiful but doesn’t hold upKatieI loved this rug in my toddler’s room, but we’ve had it for almost 2 years now and it needs to be replaced already. Many of the little woven bits of wool have come out of place and are sticking out of the rug. I see that they have changed the “care instructions” now to tell you to use a standard vacuum head, not the rotating brush head. Well, I’ve been vacuuming this rug at least once a week with the beater bar because that’s the only option on my Dyson. Our rug is in terrible shape now with lots of frayed wool. It looks so beat up! I would not recommend this rug.

Great Rug Low Traffic Area Only / Light FlooringMilaThe rug looks very nice and I love how it looks in our office, however it sheds ridiculously. It is leaving behind tiny, thin, light-colored, string strands everywhere in the office and hall on the top level of our home (it trickles into our two bedrooms upstairs, but most concentrated in office room and hallway). These strands clump together in the corners of the room and are very noticeable on our dark hardwood floor. We don't have any pets, we both have dark brown hair, and no other rug is causing this (we have no hallway rug, and the rugs in the two bedrooms are ones we have previously owned for a long time). Thus, it is unfortunately likely the culprit. I would only recommend this if you are planning to have it in a low traffic area or if you have light flooring (since the light strands clumping in the corners of the room wouldn't be as noticeable).

Form design process
Made using the pit loom weaving technique
The pit loom, as the name suggests, is positioned over a pit, and the wooden frame is angled for horizontal weaving. The artisan sits underneath the frame, and controls it with foot pedals and their hands, crafting rugs with intricate patterns and designs. This setup enables working from both above and below the frame, achieving a very tight weave. Producing a rug with this technique takes about 2-3 days, resulting in a work of art that can add character to any home.
