Disappointed is not a strong enough wordJennI loved my Ektorp for almost 15 years and thought I'd be safe to replace it with this. How wrong I was! This is the most uncomfortable couch I've ever had the displeasure to sit on - it's hard as a rock! The covers barely fit the cushions and make them look lumpy and unattractive, especially the chaise; the material is scratchy; and the seats sit so high that the armrests are basically useless, and there's nowhere to rest your head. I can't imagine spending much lounge time on this horrible thing, nevermind taking long naps like I used to on my beloved Ektorp. There's no way I can get this thing back to the store to return as it's so heavy and cumbersome that even the delivery guys struggled to get the boxes into the building's tiny elevator and inside my small apartment. Save your money and look elsewhere. I'll be crying on my ugly, lumpy, cement-block couch, regretting my life choices.1
Great couchTateThis has been a great couch! Got it second hand 3 years ago and it has been a comfy and cozy couch. Wish they had an option to sell the cushions separately. After so much use the cushions need a replacement. It would be much more environmentally friendly if I didn’t need to buy a whole new couch.4
Very comfortable sofaRitaI bought the sofa+chaise combo to replace a sectional that had seen better days. The Kivik is very comfortable, has very supportive seat cushions, and a lovely washable cover. The seating is quite deep, and I tend to sit with a throw pillow behind me, but that's not difficult to do. I had looked at this sofa for a year before purchasing as it is low enough that my cats cannot possibly get under it. It is very comfortable to lie on, too, with the springs in the seat cushions giving excellent support.5
Hard coughAnonymous reviewerThis cough has hard cover, no so comfy to lay down. I tried to returned because it’s not really fitting well in the living room. They said that they can’t pick it up. They could deliver to my house but they can’t pick it up. Even when I pay for the delivery. So disappointed. Don’t buy stuff online from ikea. 1
Perfect couch for a cottageAnnWe bought our Kivik couch over a decade ago and it has stood the test of time. We have it at our cottage and its perfect - it has survived wet dogs and ice cream eating children. We replace the cover every few years and it looks like new. All in all an excellent product.5
Big, long and hardEdwardI love how I can stretch out and relax with easy over it's length and still have space to share. My disappointment is only that it is very firm with little give at all. 4
Decent, but I hope it gets softerAnonymous reviewerSo far the couch has been great. I would say that it feels a little stiff at first so you have to rotate pillows to soften them evenly. I find the fabric on the couch is very rough. Hopefully the fabric will soften a little over time.4
uncomfortableBitaWe used KIVIK in our house 7 years ago and we loved it, so when we was in need of a new sofa we decided to go with the one we know and love and ordered it online, it totally is a different sofa, it looks the same but it is the most uncomfortable sofa you could imagine. I don't get it when something is perfect as it is why change it and make it worst, if it is about the cost just price it as needed, don't sacrifice the quality1

sofa reviewDonOur IKEA Kivik charcoal L shaped sofa sectional was a great buy. Assembled in under 4 hours. Looks great, really comfortable, high quality and great value for money. Very happy with my purchase so far... Highly recommend !5
Nice looking but not comfortableMichelleI know it is hard to find a couch that looks this nice for this price. But unfortunately you get what you pay for. I bought this for our tv room/guest room and it was so uncomfortable I'd end up sitting on the floor to watch tv. The pull out bed system was simple and effective however we had to buy a mattress cover as the break in the cushions were very bothersome for guests. And then I had to find storage space for the mattress cover! I ended up selling it a couple of years later and investing in a higher quality pullout couch which is important was important for us for movies/tv and lounging. Maybe for a living room it would be ok.2
