This cover is made from Kelinge fabric in soft polyester. The wide-wale corduroy is thick, comfortable and soft to the touch, with a slight lustre that gives it a nice and cozy look.
The cover is easy to keep clean since it can be machine washed and is easy to take off and put on again.

Not worth itWayneThe material is rough, has pulled threads everywhere and the seams are not flat and smooth; cover is too small for frame; back cushions lose their shape.
No wonder this sofa is often found on marketplace sites .
Love itJadrankaI bought my KIVIK sectional about 12 years ago, and it’s still in great shape! The frame and structure have held up really well (still like new) over the years. The only thing that could use some refreshing are the seat cushions, but unfortunately, IKEA doesn’t offer replacement cushions. I LOVE that every cover you can take it of and wash.
I’d also love to change the covers to give it a new look, but in IKEA Canada, it’s disappointing that you can no longer buy covers for this corner section or the 5-seat corner configuration. It seems that Europe and the U.S. still carry them, but not here in Canada. It’s a great sofa overall—just wish IKEA Canada offered the same replacement options as other regions!

Comfy affordable couchRosieI love this couch, bought it in the as-is section. Thought I would just buy a cheap couch, with the colour I like. Turns out this couch is comfier than it looks and have taken many naps on it. It’s been a few months and it’s still nice, plush and new looking. I’ve washed the covers a few times already and still looks brand new. The only thing I don’t like is you can’t put the covers in the dryer, otherwise I love this couch. Am planning to get the matching loveseat in the future.

Nothing like the old KIVIKSarahI used to have a KIVIK couch and I loved it - soft and comfortable with reversible cushions. Just bought another and it's nowhere near as good. The cushions are hard and feel like they have zero memory foam. The covers on the seat cushions have a weird thin back so you can't just flip them over. The cover is thinner material and not soft at all and already has threads showing. If I didn't live in a remote area where it costs me hundreds to get back to IKEA I'd return it. As it is I'll try to use a memory foam pad and a large throw cover to make it tolerable.
We like the design, but the cushions are too hard.AnWe purchased this sofa a few months ago and the pocket springs cushions have not softened. Some of our family members find it very uncomfortable to sit on.
I read that the original design had foam cushions. Can Ikea PLEASE offer the old foam cushion as a replacement??

Starts off on a high, goes downhill fast!ThierryI loved the design of this love seat. It takes up the same space as our old couch but because the arms are low and flat, you can actually comfortably lay down on it. After 11 months tho, that is all the good I have to say about it. I am starting to hate this couch. As other reviews state, the cover is washable, though they are very hard to remove and are terrible quality. Each time you remove them, the structure of the couch is compromised as the arms need to be removed and the velcro holding the covers in place starts to tear away from both the cover and the couch. The fabric is terrible. Lots of snags. Do not use a fabric shaver though as it’ll only make things worse. The seat cushions, though firm, are NOT reversible, which makes rotating them for even wear impossible so they start to slant forward, slowly sliding you off the couch. The back cushions look like they gave up ages ago and need to be fluffed and rotated constantly. Again, this couch isn’t even a year old, so whilst still under warranty and sold together, ikea has just informed me that the cost of the cover is, ironically, NOT COVERED.
The structure of Ikea couches was just better 20 years ago.

Not very comfortable :/ DaisyI’ve had this couch for almost a year now and was really hoping it would soften over time, but unfortunately it hasn’t at all. I was so excited to purchase it because many of my friends have the same couch and theirs are incredibly comfortable — the cushions are perfectly squishy and the fabric feels soft and cozy. Sadly, that wasn’t my experience. The cushions on ours feel stiff and springy, and it’s not comfortable to sit on for long periods. I’ve always loved IKEA, but this purchase was really disappointing. I hesitated on returning this in hopes that it just needed some time to break in, however it’s the same as when we first received it.

In about 2 months it looked 10 years old. Great color, terrible quality. We have to now purchase a new cover, which increases the cost of the sofa, EPSECIALLY because we do not have an Ikea on the island where we live. Shipping is expensive.
I wish Ikea would be able to send us a new cover but I have not asked.
I have tried using a fabric shaver recently but it is so bad, you can not tell. The pulls/pills are wild. Especially considering we do not sit on the couch as much as maybe a normal family would. Whatever that means.
Amazing couchMariaI used to have the same couch in gray, and loved it. Bought it again in a lighter color, and could not be happier. It even works as an emergency single bed when having friends over for a night or two. Would definitely recommend, cheap and good looking

I cant even zip up the cushions you sit on cause it wont fit around. Aside from that, absolutely love this couch .. fabric just needs a bit more give. Based on fabric alone is the only reason why I wont give it a five star.

Comfortable & easy assemblyAshleyThe couch was simple enough to assemble on my own in about 30 minutes, the cushions are comfortable and getting softer with more use. The low arm rests make it perfect for guests to sleep on, since it is longer than the average couch.
