VERY Difficult to get covers onto the cushionsTamaraI put this together myself. It took about 90 minutes and close to half of that was fighting with the cushions as the covers are very small and it is very difficult to get them in, particularly the back cushions. Otherwise it was very straightforward.
I watched a YouTube video before starting, which was helpful and I'd highly recommend doing that.
The feet are very low and I may change them out. Cushions are firm.4
Not good, the sofa is hard as rockSohailaWouldn’t recommend it.1
Great loveseatLilianEasy to assemble, very sturdy, and it's even big enough for 3 people to sit on, despite being a loveseat, not a sofa. Great to have replaceable covers in different colours and textures too so that you can switch it up if you want a change. I would say it's closer to firm than medium, but it has enough springiness to make it very comfortable and easy to get up from, which is a bonus for anyone who has difficulty with furniture that's too soft or too low. It will be interesting to see how it stands up to long term use, but so far it seems very solid and good value for the cost.5
Not as displayedOlagokeGot mine recently, color does not look as displayed in picture, the cover cloth quality is poor in reality.3
We like our Kivik loveseat.MarshallI purchased this loveseat in Jan 2025 to replace a 1990s Natuzzi leather loveseat that was at the end of its life. I'm a man in my early 60s and, although a few of the boxes were heavy, I was able to pick them off the shelf and load them into my truck by myself.
The assembly instructions were easy to understand and I was able to build the loveseat on my own. The frame construction of the Kivik was nearly identical to that of my old Natuzzi so I expect it will provide many years of good use.
We use this loveseat daily when watching television and reading, and also for napping. It is very comfortable doing all of that but you will need a pillow when napping. You also can buy new fabrics if they become damaged or if you want to change the decor.5
10 out of 10 MayaI like it, very comfortable and it is very good for a small space. 5
KIVIK LOVECHAIRGiancarloThis couch is perfect for smaller living rooms or to compliment a 3-seater! The design is modern, the support is fantastic, and the material looks like it will stand up to regular use for a long time! Very satisfied with my purchase and highly recommend :)5
Great fit for space AmenzeI really like the Kivik love seat, it fits perfectly in my small apartment and is comfy. Only downside is the material of the covers. I felt the green covers at Ikea and assumed the grey covers would be just as soft. When I touched the covers while I was building the love seat, I found that the material is very scratchy and rough. I really wish I got the green covers instead, my skin is super sensitive and is not loving the texture of the grey material. 4
ComfyWagnerKivik it's a good product. It's very comfy with a good finish and super easy to assemble.5
The seat cushions on the loveseat maintain their shape well, providing comfortable seating without sinking.MahshidIn my opinion, the size of the loveseat fits my space well, the seat cushions are of good quality and maintain their shape, providing the comfort I desire, the color options were based on my personal preference, and the loveseat has a simple and beautiful design that aligns with my taste.5
Love our KivikPatriciaLove our Kivik5
Absolutely not BrooklynWe bought a Kivik sectional 3 years ago as the Ektorp was unavailable for 6 weeks and we were in no position to wait. Life altering mistake. No cushioning, deep seating, low arms… and within a year it was misshapen, and it’s only gotten worse. There is no fix. The alignment of each section needs to be fixed everyday, shimming out of place every time someone sits down. I wish I could upload photos. We washed one cover as directed and it completely changed shape and doesn’t properly fit on the cushion. No chance in washing the rest and we have four older kids and two low key dogs. No one is using this for parkour. Regret level at an all time high. We’ve lived the Ikea life for decades, no issues. This is a nightmare. Haven’t inquired as to what’s covered by the 10 yr warrantee, but general misery isn’t likely to be covered. Don’t be like me. Learn from us. Never again. Zero stars across the board. Was forced to give one. 1
Excellent sofaMitchVery comfortable sofa, great look, covering very durable5
Most comfortable sofaSebnemI have loved Kivik sofas since they were introduced years ago. They are very easy to assemble, very durable and extremely comfortable. Changing the covers is not very difficult although it requires some disassembly.
My favourite sofa ever!5
Good sofaSumonaAssembly was not easy and after assembling it did not appear like it was displayed4
Good overallSarkiA bit hard to apply the frame cover but generally easy to put together.
Comfortable and firm4
Very stylish and comfortableMugéTresund light beige loveseat, I am very happy with my purchase. The seating is very comfortable, I initially thought that it would be seated a little too low, because I have knee problems, but that is not the case. It also is medium hard, not too soft that you sink in yet you can comfortably sit keeping your back leaning as well. The fabric is just fantastic. It is more cotton but very sturdy. I thought it would be close to white, but it is a light beige that goes with my shiny white Besta Sesviken High Gloss TV unit, oh so very stylish. I threw on a couple of the white plush Gulviva plush rugs, one for the cat and one on the arm rest. It looks heavenly!5
Nice loveseatLauren3 stars for assembly as I put it together myself. It was tricky to get the arms lined up and held together for the bolts on my own. 2 people would make it a breeze4
