Nice looking but poor quality and creakyVanessaWe were so excited to see this design and with owning many other well-made ikea products, we're genuinely surprised at how poorly made this bed is. We instantly noticed how creaky the bed is and any time one of us rolls over, the other notices (which did not happen with our previous 20 year old frame). My husband is trying to add extra supports and wires to tighten the frame which we hope will help. Super disappointed.

Great bed!!JohnOur last bed was from Ikea and it served us for a good 25 years. Finally gave it away and picked the Idanas with the box frame and storage as the replacement. Took about six hours but I was able to put it all together by myself. Using a cordless screw driver with adjustable torque settings helped alot. Don't over tighten anything! The bed came together just fine except for the two head board pieces. I had to do a bit of hand finishing with 100 grit sandpaper so the dowels and lock pin things aligned passively. So here's the thing...If you follow the instructions and assemble it well, the bed shouldn't creak, or squeak. My bed was solid and quiet. We're very happy with this purchase.
POOR QUALITYSusanWe've had the bed about a month and we've already had to jury rig two repairs.
The first had the screws strip from one of the corner angle brackets at the foot of the bed which supported the mattress frame. The fix was to glue and screw on 90 degree wooden straps to the frame for support. The second fix was to fix one side of the metal drawer slides where the screws split the flimsy wood. It's a good thing we're good at MacGyvering!
It’s beautiful to look at and comfortable. We had someone from IKEA assemble it who did a good job. This is a good bedframe and for a good price and looks great in our condo. NaliniGood bedframe for anyone looking for something that looks elegant and affordable.
Great bedKimLoving this bed. The storage is great, but the designer should have considered that there would nightstands beside the bed. Those top drawers have had to be delegated seasonal because they not easily accessed with a nightstand in place. The bed is quiet and does not have much motion transfer when the other person moves. Not the easiest thing to put together but we like it!!

Creaky, unstable. Disappointing product. Anonymous reviewerWe had high hopes but unfortunately are very disappointed in this product. When my husband moves it creaks so badly it wakes me up. With any movement the bed feels like it bounces - we have a foam mattress, it was fine on a box spring but with this bedframe it shakes. We are not large people, we were very surprised to see how poorly this bedframe performs. My husband is a carpenter, he knows how to assemble things properly. The slats rub against the metal loudly so we will try fabric tape but for the price, I wasn't expecting to have to modify this product. We would like to return however this was delivered a long distance and is fully assembled, so unlikely we will be able to get a refund. We would not recommend it to anyone with a king bed especially.
Poor design and quality Anonymous reviewerAbsolute junk. The wooden bevels are too long so they push through and damage the flat surfaces when constructed according to the instructions. The damages are clearly seen on the outside surfaces. IKEA is trying to save money on design and engineering; however, if they continue to sell poor quality products, they will eventually tarnish their good name and lose money in the long run. Stay away from this product!

Good looking bedLesleyDid not come with the mattress support, thus a delay in assembling. Ikea should be more specific about this. It added to cost and tise..and was a silly "extra"...after all one needs a mattress support or else you wind up sleeping on the floor surrounded by a bed frame.
