Product details

Suitable for rooftop windows, tilt windows and turn windows.

The blind can be cut and re-cut to fit a smaller window. Ensure that you do not exceed maximum cut length.

Drill-free mounting using the 4 included brackets with adhesive tape. The adhesive has been tested and approved for smooth glass surfaces.

The blind is cordless for increased child safety.

The assembly instructions include a table with numbers corresponding to those on the fabric and rails to facilitate precise measuring and cutting.

A series of holes ensure you cut with precision and also create a pleasant pattern when light filters through the holes.

Easy to maneuver using either of the plastic handles at the top or bottom.

The fabric dims daylight entering the room and reduces glare. It gives a comfortable sense of privacy as people cannot see in. At night, silhouettes can be perceived from outside when the room is lit.

Good to know

Highly recommended to attach to surfaces made of glass.

For window frames or surfaces not recommended for the adhesive, mount the brackets with screws using a drill or screwdriver. The brackets are prepared with small holes for this purpose.

To reposition or reuse on another window, remove adhesive-mounted brackets with plastic hand scraper. Replace with new brackets available cost-free at IKEA stores or contact IKEA Customer Services for help.

For door windows or windows taller than 130 cm, mount 2 pleated blinds to cover the whole surface.

The top rail of the 86,4 cm wide blind can be cut max. 30 cm.

If you need to adapt the dimensions of the pleated blind to your window, cut the top/bottom rails and the rods with a metal saw. Cut the fabric with a safety knife.

The included tool makes it easier to get straight, accurate lines when adapting the size of your rail/rod/fabric. It also protects your fingers.

For a smooth, friction-free glide, apply a few drops of silicone spray lubricant to the lock mechanism in the brackets. Ensure the spray is suitable for plastic and metal.

Can also be used in bathrooms.

Ratings and reviews

Great value!MichelYou can't get better value for your money than these blinds. It would have cost us thousands of dollars to get blinds for our five 6' x 3' livingroom windows. This cost us peanuts and give us the privacy we need. I wish they made a model that was 12 inches longer, it would have been perfect. Nonetheless I've had these blinds for two years now which survived extremely hot and freezing window temperatures. I purchased this blind for a family member and installed it, very satisfied. Word of the wise, clean your windows with a product like Whoosh or LCD/prescription glasses wipes before installing, they will not come off. To remove the mounts, twist the mounting bracket right to left in a semi circle back and forth motion. Highly recommend this product, enjoy!5
Not worth itSeanThese were really disappointing. I’ll echo other reviewers comments about the polka dot pattern showing. The blind fabric is really thin too, similar to IKEA’s $5 blinds. They feel super cheap. The install, while manageable, was frustrating and really time consuming. You will need a proper hack saw and make sure your measurements for the height are virtually perfect. I think a lot of your success with these depends on your window type. I have older windows with thinner uneven wooden trim which made installing these not great. And I’m not able to install one in my window with a screen because of the way the screen sits in the window. It’s seems really ridiculous to not be able to drill (or stick) these into the top and bottom of the window frame. This was a total waste of money. 2
Difficult to install and poor quality Anonymous reviewerThese were such a pain to cut to size and install, plus they ended up all wonky because the size rails are flimsy. I liked the idea of being able to pull them down from the top, but we’ll be sticking with our old blinds instead. 2
BlindsIreneBlinds wo4k relatively well but do not allow for enough adjustment side by side. The adjustment slots should be wider.3
Good light filtering top-down/bottom-up blindChristinaI needed a blind to keep the sun out that would allow top-down and bottom-up function. Assembly instruction was clear but be aware that there are certain intervals that the blind can be cut. Also recommend using a metal saw when adjusting the length of the rails to avoid bending during the process. The only downside is that you can see a polka dot pattern when the sun shines directly on the blind. This originates from the opening for the rails which are marked throughout the entire width of the blind. I used 3 small sizes to cover my entire window and I am happy with the result.5
OkTimothyThey look like blinds that would cost what you’re paying……don’t expect much else….when the sun shines through them they look polka dotted.3
