Adequate value, but beware plastic drawer slidesYahongThis is a solid little dresser for the price... EXCEPT for the plastic drawer "slides". I've honestly never encountered a wooden dresser that doesn't have actual metal rolling drawer slides, but now I can say first-hand that it's more difficult to slide wood on plastic than it is to slide plastic on plastic. For comparison, the Sterilite-type clear plastic drawers slide easier than this. Ikea has designed manual drawer stops to keep the drawers from sliding out, but they also mean that you can't pull out the drawers entirely to rearrange them (e.g. when swapping around winter vs. summer clothes).
Given that this is made for kids and I, as a 30-year-old adult, have difficulty using these drawers smoothly... maybe this is how they train kids to build up arm muscle strength in Europe?? Anyway, outside of the slides the dresser itself is quite solid and hefty, so I'll be keeping the one I built, but will only be using it for rarely-accessed items. Not suitable for daily use.
Lovely little drawer setLindaWe bought two of these small dressers to insert into the bottom of our closet system to provide us with drawers. They were easy to assemble, look attractive and operate smoothly. We are very pleased with this economical result.
Best kid-friendly dresser!JennaReally impressed by the functionality of these dressers! I bought two of them for my children's room. The drawers are easy for kids to open, and the dressers are the perfect height. Really helps promote independence :)
Good enough for my kiddoJessThese are very cute, compact dressers. They are easy to assemble and quite sturdy.
My only complaint is that the drawer slides have a fair amount of friction in operation so they aren't smooth drawers.
Great improvements?CorrinaHonestly, we recognized the improvements to this dresser from the previous model seem to be for safety. However we were disappointed to discover the changes after purchasing and assembly when we placed it next to the older version we had purchased a few months previous. The drawers are shallower and the protruding footing at the base of the dresser is more of a tripping/toe-stubbing hazard.
Product is now smallerLoriThis product has changed in size. It is now smaller than last years model although that is NOT indicated. I bought 2 last year for playroom and 2 more just now to add to the previous ones and they are like 2 inches shorter. I've already build them so I'm obviously keeping them but not impressed. It should be noted that the product is not the same as last year even though its the same price and product name. Consistency please!
