Great FilterDennisI avoided buying an air purifier based on the often exorbitant costs of the air purifier and replacement filters. Then I saw this one, reasonably priced as well as the replacement filters. I tried it out in my bedroom. Within 2 nights I noticed I was breathing easier, sneezing less and sleeping better. The 2nd speed vigorously moves air with very little noise. I have tinnitus(constant ear ringing) so the soft white noise aids in drowning out my tinnitus resulting in a more restful sleep.
I bought a 2nd one a week later for the living room. I'm very happy with my purchase.
I noticed a few people commented that theirs broke after 2 years of use. If that should be the case with mine, I will happily go out and buy another one considering the modest price compared to some other brands which cost hundreds of dollars more.
I checked the rating of the HEPA filter with AI and it scores highly for filtering out pollen and nano particles and plastics. I didn't buy the black charcoal filter.5
Poor purifierDavidOn the low setting - the only one that is quiet enough to spend time with - the purifier doesn't seem to intake any air. After having it on non-stop for two months I checked the fabric cover and the filter inside and it hasn't sucked up anything. I don't think its actually doing anything, especially when compared to my levoit purifier in my other room.1
Förnuftigging fabulous filter BarbaraAs someone who lives with COPD and asthma, I bought these to keep out allergens, VOCs, fire smoke... I like that they tell me when the filters need to be replaced and that you can use two kinds of filters at the same time. And they last forever. Dear Ikea, do not ever stop making these! (I'm here for at least another 20 years 😆)5
Stopped working properly after 2 yearsMaiaWe loved this air purifier and were planning to buy more until this past week, when the unit we bought in January 2024 started sounding weak...it barely functions on the lower settings and the top setting is now like the lowest setting used to be. I called Customer Service and they told me it is not possible to fix or replace the motor, only the filters (which we have been doing) and there is no warranty. So, buyer beware: this is a great product, until it isn't.3
Stylish, moves a lot of airSimonI have two of these air purifiers. One is wall-mounted and the other sits on the floor on its stand. Wall mounting with the included drilling guide went very smoothly. The unit is discreet. On a wall, it looks similar to a modern baseboard heater. As for the other one, the stand is decent, but it wobbles a bit when you touch the unit. This air purifier can go from practically inaudible to a moderately loud white noise on the highest setting. 60dB is equivalent to the sound of a dishwasher. The sound can be good for those who need white noise to fall asleep. One downside is the giant "wall wart" style plug that might block access to adjacent outlets. Overall, the unit is a great value and the replacement filters are affordable.4

Bad design - front displays dirt/dustLeonThe front fabric panel shows the pattern of the underlying plastic - so you have this cross dirt pattern on the front. Looks horrible. Other air purifiers avoid this but it seems they didn't think of this early. This can't be cleaned, as I've tried. 1

Looks good, terrible wall plug.RyanThe air purifier looks good and works well, but the wall plug is ergonomically terrible. At 5.6cm (2 1/4") of stick out from the wall I am guessing they never thought that someone might plug it in behind a piece of furniture. Though that seems to be a theme for ikea plugs in general. Which odd when they sell furniture designed for best use of space. Otherwise it is a dandy of a unit.3
Great Performance, Excellent ValueCaraI am so impressed with this air purifier. I was suffering from daily allergy issues (dust, pollen, pet hair, you name it) and this has significantly reduced my symptoms (basically unless I'm cuddling my cat directly, I don't get allergies in my house anymore). My place is approx. 500 sq ft; I place it either in my living/dining area or my bedroom as needed. I have been running it every day nonstop for a couple months now and I've had no issues/haven't had to replace the filter yet.
The three settings go from basically silent, to barely noticeable, to pleasant white noise (i.e. even running full blast I can still hear everything in my apartment fine).
PROS: affordable, looks nice, filters are very affordable, it works great, you can rest it on it's own weight or hang it, it's easy to assemble/take apart and clean if you need to. I've already got two other people to buy it, I'm that happy with my purchase.5
I have other air purifiers,RyanI have other air purifiers, and it’s always a pain and real expensive to get the new filters. The replacement filters for this are so easy to change and can be bought in store at IKEA. I have three of these now and can see myself getting more.5
