The best way to clean your laminate countertop is with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Wipe with a dry cloth. Ideally, always wipe off stains immediately to avoid permanent discoloration. Toasters and other hot electrical appliances should not rest on the seals, otherwise damage is possible.
