It also can lie compactly to get stored in the tent trailer after it has been collapsed for transport. Added a mattress fitted cloth covering to protect it. Giving it only 4 stars because Ibwant to comment on its quality after a few more trips.
Mattress thicknessAmmarIn terms of money, the mattress is perfect, but could be great if it has some extra thickness up to 10 inches, at this current thickness which is 7 inches I have a feeling that I am sleeping on bed base, a very less feelings of comfort.

Best MattressBogdanGot it on sale, tried other mattresses at the bigger brand stores. They were double to sometimes triple the price of this, not as comfortable. For the money it's amazing. Overall great quality, better than some 1k-1.5k mattresses out there...for me.

Not impressed AbhijeetWe had a Morgedal Medium Firm mattress from Ikea for comparison. We first chose the Medium Firm option. At home it felt like super plush. We returned it at the store the very next day and got the Firm version. Compared with Medium Firm Morgedal which is also a Foam only mattress even a Firm version of this mattress feels plush. When you lie down on the mattress you feel sunk in it. Definitely not worth the price or hassle.

Not great for the price MayssanThis is a new model from the mattresses of this thickness. It never fully expanded and was not comfortable. Full refund upon return. No problems there.
Perfect for my sciaticaSohmI have really bad sciatica and the extreme firmness is exactly perfect. It feels like I’m sleeping on the floor with a memory foam topper.
I can’t explain how amazing this has been. I don’t think IKEA’s marketing team explains how firm it will be and therefore the other reviews seem to be complaining about it too much, but it is perfect for me.
I love it and I plan to buy the exact same one when I move again.
On a side note, others with for others who have sciatica, this feels great because unlike other mattresses with a lot of give that can compress your back, this doesn’t do that. Its firmness holds your lower back up and you don’t need to use the pillow under your legs to prop it up.
Waste of money!!!JudyOur experience with this mattress and the post sales services are extremely disappointing. We purchased the medium firm for this mattress, and it felt great trying in the showroom. We also purchased a bed frame with wooden slats to go with this mattress. However, when we tried this at home, it is much softer than the show room one. I'm less than 100 pounds and the guide recommended medium firm too. This mattress caused me neck and shoulder pain. We originally purchased this mattress for our toddler, but she didn't want to use it until a few months later. The mattress was brand new and unused, but upon inquiring customer service, they said it is too late and we are unable to return. They said I should have purchased the firm mattress and the mattress has no issue and it is not qualified for warranty either. I probably won't be buying another mattress from IKEA in the future.

About the Firmness...MorganI would rate this mattress a medium/firm, or a 7.5 out of 10 firmness. After auditioning many mattresses, I believe that foam mattresses can only be expected to provide so much resistence. For added firmness, move up to a coil mattress.

Awful Mattress - We are miserable!MarissaWe had SUCH high hopes for this mattress.
It’s been 6 months and we are miserable. It’s SO bad, we just went out and bought a new mattress elsewhere. I don’t know what we’ll do with this one, but save your money!!! I feel like I just flushed $700 down the toilet, while also getting the privilege of weeks and weeks of restless nights and back pain. I’m currently sleeping on our couch until our new mattress arrives.
We went to the store and tested out all the beds, we didn’t buy sight-unseen. After just 2 months of sleeping on it, both sides already had visible indents with a high point in the middle. The corners never quite expanded fully. It feels pretty firm when the mattress is cool, but as soon as you add your body heat, it softens up into a mushy, unsupportive, saggy mess.
One of my most regrettable purchases ever.
