IKEA Family Membership Terms of Use
IKEA Family is a free loyalty program for Canadian residents aged 18 and over. Members earn points on eligible purchases, redeem rewards, and enjoy exclusive benefits. Points expire after 24 months and accounts inactive for 2 years are closed. One membership per person; card must be scanned at purchase to earn points.
- Only one IKEA Family membership is allowed per person.
- The IKEA Family card is free and non-transferable.
- To receive benefits, the card must be scanned at the time of purchase.
- Points are earned on all purchases except gift cards. However, the person who redeems a gift card will earn the points.
- Points are credited within 48 hours of completing a purchase or eligible interaction.
- Points cannot be retroactively assigned if the card was not used at the time of purchase, except in rare cases with high escalation.
- No points will be awarded for purchases made before May 27, 2025.
- If items are returned, the corresponding points will be deducted based on the original value.
- Once you've earned enough points, rewards will unlock. Choosing a reward will deduct the required points and generate a voucher code, which will appear in your profile and be emailed to you.
- Reward vouchers can be used with other IKEA offers in-store and online. However, due to technical limitations, only one coupon code can be applied per online purchase.
- Points used for rewards cannot be refunded or exchanged.
- If a customer chooses the wrong IKEA family reward or changes their mind, they can request to reverse the points that were redeemed within 30 days. Once completed, points will be recredited within 24-48 hours.
- Points are valid for 24 months from the date they are credited.
- Accounts inactive for more than 2 years will be closed and deleted.
- Present your IKEA Family card at every purchase to keep your account active.
- Points are non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash or used as partial payment—unless redeeming a reward.
