Why am I able to add products to my online shopping cart if they are out of stock?
IKEA Canada has many stores and distribution centers across the country. We may only know if something is in or out of stock for your location once you enter your postal code at check-out.
IKEA has many ways of shipping out items to our customers from coast to coast. Items will either come from a distribution center, or from your closest store. Unfortunately, we won't know if an item is in stock close to you until you enter your postal code at check-out.
IKEA's customers can shop online and in store, so stock information can be tricky to provide. We strive every day to meet our customers' expectations in many ways.
