I broke a piece of my product during assembly, how do I obtain a replacement?
At IKEA, we understand that accidents happen. If an item was broken during assembly, there are several options available to you.
If you accidentally break your product during assembly and have scanned your IKEA Family loyalty card at the time of purchase, you can bring your product back to an IKEA store within 14 days from the date of purchase to receive a replacement. The product can be assembled or disassembled.
The following terms and conditions apply:
- This benefit is available to IKEA Family members only
- You have 14 days from the date of purchase to replace any damaged products and take advantage of this benefit
- To claim this benefit, you must present your IKEA Family card together with proof of purchase and the damaged item. Proof of purchase must show that your IKEA Family card was presented and scanned at the time of purchase
- This benefit does not apply to purchases of IKEA gift cards or purchases made in the IKEA Cafe, IKEA Bistro, IKEA Swedish Food Market or IKEA Restaurant
- This benefit does not apply to cut fabric or goods ordered to your specification (for example, custom made countertops or made-to-order sofas)
- This benefit does not apply to purchases from the AS-IS department
- Damaged products will be replaced with the same product. You can also only bring the damaged piece for an exchange, subject to availability
