Can I keep my TRÅDFRI gateway or do I need to change to DIRIGERA hub?
You do not need to replace your TRÅDFRI gateway for your existing smart-home setup to keep working. The TRÅDFRI gateway and IKEA Home smart 1 app will continue to be supported.
You may choose to switch to a DIRIGERA hub if you would like to use the IKEA Home smart app and access additional digital features. DIRIGERA also has greater capacity for connecting smart products. As IKEA develops new smart products, some may require DIRIGERA rather than the TRÅDFRI gateway.
If you decide to switch, the IKEA Home smart app will guide you through setting up your smart home with DIRIGERA. Your existing IKEA smart products can be paired with the DIRIGERA hub, but your TRÅDFRI setup is stored locally. This means you will need to pair your products with DIRIGERA and create your scenes again.

No. Since your smart home set-up with TRÅDFRI gateway is stored locally only, and since the app connected to DIRIGERA hub comes with new digital features, you will need to re-create scenes after pairing your smart products.
