Bed broke after 3 years. Not worth it long run.EmmaBe prepared to replace the metal support that runs through the centre. It tore at the head like a sheet of paper, after 2 years of use. Upon replacing it, one side panel also tore when I put the mattress back on. Returning the new metal beam. Would only buy this bed if you want to get a new one in 3 years.

Decent Frame that Looks like it lastAnonymous reviewerThe Frame is well built and relatively straight forward to put together. The only issue I had was with the cheap cast metal cam lock nuts. The first couple I used for the middle floor section kept breaking off. Had to order a handful to complete the build. Other than that it was a quality kit.

Terrible delivery experienceJean GuillaumeReceived a defective frame. Got good customer service, set up an appointment for retrieving defective bed and delivering new bed. I ask IKEA rep if I should return every component of the bed, even if opened, and they say yes. Turns out the "bed" is only three boxes, although the actual "bed" also requires wooden slats and a support beam, which IKEA had sent with the initial delivery. I interpreted my conversation with the rep as implying I should send those back too. It turns out that I should not have, so I have to pay to have them delivered again. IKEA kindly gave me 5$ off the 20$ delivery fee! One month in and my son is still sleeping on his mattress on the floor. I'm very annoyed at how much time I have wasted over this (including writing this) and will never shop at IKEA again.

Parts aren't the right size Anonymous reviewerAfter an hour of thinking I had lost my mind because there was absolutely no way the pieces they sent were the right length.
I turned to YouTube and the internet and found out that I was in fact not the only one having the same issue setting up the bed. The pins are not long enough to connect with the locking nuts and the bed simply doesn't stay together.
So now after spending over $600 on getting the bed and headboard delivered I am off to home depot to buy the parts that should have been properly manufactured in the first place.
Ikea is no longer "Swedish for Common Sense" its now Swedish for frustrating.

Drawers broke SarahThe bed frame is nice and the drawers are spacious However 2 of the 4 drawers are now broken and they do not sell replacements. Very dissatisfied with the resolution from customer service of me getting the drawers fixed/ replaced. Zero parts and zero solutions other than buying another full new bed frame
Easy to set up this quality itemAnonymousWe did use a Youtube video that walked us through putting the bed together. What I like about the bed is that you have mattress height options. I like the high bed option for it looks more elegant and more importantly it is easy to put bedsheets on without crushing your fingers on the frame.

Why would the slatted base not be included?!?!CorrieOrdered online, took 3 weeks to arrive from a city 4.5 hours from my town. Centre connection was so short almost couldn’t put it together. Halfway through assembly discovered there were no slats. There is absolutely no reason not to include these when they are required. Why? Someone please explain the reasoning???
Needs to be redesigned.Lisa Please IKEA fix STEP 6 so there aren’t tears and incredible frustration on your customers part who are desperately trying to assemble the queen size Brimnes bed. The pin is too short to turn the locking nut and fasten together the 2 major boards of this bed. It’s NOT a new problem, installation would be simple if the parts were actually the right length for the job. It leaves one thinking that it’s them that is unable to correctly assemble it which is NOT the case. It’s a defect in the workmanship of a part. It seriously left me reconsidering whether I would ever purchase anything IKEA again. HELP your customers.
Great storage!JudyLove this purchase! Provides great storage in a house where storage space is limited. I was worried it would be too low but it works just fine for us seniors!
Box 3 MAY BE A DIFFERENT COLOURSamanthaTo save everyone the extreme hassle and confusion: box 3 may come as a different colour than the entire bed. We've had the boxes for 3 weeks and 1 out of 5 people who worked at ikea could tell me this. The photo shows it clearly, but no one could explain that to me when I was live chatting/calling.
I will update the star rating if the bed is any different than a 4 once I actually build it.
