What is IKEA's return policy?

If you change your mind or a product doesn't suit you, you have 365 days to return it. For mattresses, the return period is 90 days. With proof of purchase and if the return conditions are met, IKEA will give you a full refund.

At IKEA, changing your mind is absolutely not a problem. Sometimes an item may seem like a perfect fit for your home, office or garden, when in turn it isn't. Returning a product is simple and hassle-free, regardless of where or how you purchased it.
You can return any IKEA product within 365 days – whether it was purchased in a store in Belgium, online at IKEA.be or via another sales channel. To facilitate processing, present your proof of purchase. If you can't find it, we can help you get the ticket back.
Opened or assembled products may also be returned, provided they are clean, complete, undamaged, unaltered and in resalable condition. Dirty, stained, damaged, incomplete or altered items are not accepted.
For mattresses and mattress toppers, the return or exchange period is 90 days, under the same conditions as other products. If you no longer have the original packaging, just make sure to protect the product well so that it is not dirty or damaged during transport.
There are three ways to return IKEA products:
  • Back in store - Register an Express Return to skip the line and go to your nearest IKEA store.
  • Return by parcel - Register your return online and drop it off at any Bpost pick-up point. Returns by Bpost parcel are only possible for parcels up to a maximum of 30 kg.
  • Truck return - Book a pickup for bulky products that you wish to return. Please note that the products must be disassembled for return by truck. Important: This option is not available for customers with an address in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Please contact the Customer Service if this situation applies to you.

Purchases made abroad are accepted in IKEA Belgium stores and refunded in the form of Voucher.
